UPF 50+ Women's Active Swim Shorts

I'm a plus size mom of two and I try not to be ashamed or uncomfortable about my body when I'm swimming or playing with kids, and that's hard to do if I'm worried about my chunky legs or butt showing. I hate constantly pulling and tugging at bathing suits to make sure everything is covered. Swim skirts are cute enough, but when you get out of the water they take 30 gallons with them and they never get dry.Then I found these. I feel covered, I can move freely and don't have to worry about tugging or pulling to keep things in place. Plus they still look stylish with a tankini top. They are much less "old lady" than skirted bottoms.Size wise, I'm about 5'9", 245, heavy in my butt, thighs, and hips, and wear size 20 jeans, and 2X fits great. I can't wait to wear these on vacation next week.

Very pleased with these swim shorts! I am in my mid-40s and am in ok shape but I had been looking for something to swim in that would give me more coverage while still looking sporty rather than dowdy. (Even when I was younger, I usually felt too "exposed" in most bathing suits.) I tried other swim shorts but the only ones I found at brick-and-mortar stores were ones that were more like regular shorts (with wider-cut legs) and they would flare out under the water and I hated that. Plus, they weren't very flattering out of the water (they were too boxy/loose-looking). I tried a swim skirt too, but it also would flare out and it seemed to grandma-ish for my age. I looked and looked at a ton of other swim shorts online but I noticed a lot of reviews for others complained about material that was too thin and a lack of lining inside and mentioned they didn't feel covered enough or felt like they had to either wear underwear underneath those shorts or wear something else over those shorts.Then I came across these swim shorts! The material definitely has adequate thickness and they are fully lined, so there's no need to wear anything underneath. I recently wore them on a vacation where I went swimming, snorkeling, and to a water park with slides and tube rides. The shorts were great--they're flattering and fit just like exercise/bike shorts, so your legs sort of feel "held in place" (in a good way). They fit true to size (I'm just under 5' 6", weigh about 125-128 pounds, and wear an 8 or a 6 in misses' pants size depending on the brand and style, so I ordered the mediums and they fit very nicely). They are comfortable with all sort of activity and go great with shoulder-strap style "tankini" tops.So "in short," these shorts are great! I like them so much I think I will order a 2nd pair or maybe even 3rd pair to have on hand in case I can't find them in the future and since it took me several years of looking to find these!. I also am thinking of ordering a pair of the longer "swim jammerz" shorts (also from UV Skinz) in case I might want the longer-leg style for some events/activities.

Great quality, exactly what I was looking for. Glad I purchased these rather than trying to go with a less expensive brand because I wouldn't have gotten as good of a design as these. I know because I tried several on and returned before finding these! I'm 5'2" and 162 pounds (haven't lost pregnancy weight yet) and the waistband on these are flattering because they do not create a tummy bulge and they hold everything in well (I ordered size Large). Great length; longer than regular shorts so they fit my overweight thighs well but do not go down to the knees, so perfect in the middle length I wanted. These are very comfortable and stay in place wet and dry. No camel toe thanks to the good design of the seams, fully lined, not see through. Surprisingly, was not a struggle to pull them up wet after going to the bathroom. LOVE THEM. Finally I have found some swim shorts that are flat for wearing under summer clothing. Some days I just want the option of swimming spontaneously, or at least not trying to find a changing house at whatever beach we stop at, and these pair of shorts will be smooth under a summer dress. Ordered a number of different pairs of swim shorts and volley ball shorts to meet this need, and I like these the best because the material is a bit thicker. Much more flattering if you have lumps and bumps like me. My only wish is that they were just a little shorter so that they were more in the realm of normal bathing suits. But I know a lot of reviewers love the 6" length. They definitely look athletic, even on this size 16 girl, they don't cut into my thigh making fat blobby rolls and they don't seem to be prone to rolling up either. They were the most expensive of the five brands of swim shorts and volley ball shorts I tried, but they are certainly the best, and, when you want to feel comfortable on the beach, an extra $20 bucks seems well worth it to me.

I took an XS in the shorts. I purchased the Hot Pink to go with the Hot Pink watercolor Ruched tank top in XS from the same company.I am quite thin at 5'4" and 92lbs with small bones. 34C bust, 25.5" waist, 34.5 hips. I have gone swimming in this suit once so far and it is not see thru. My only complaint in the shorts would be that the seam in the crotch was irritating to me and I had to keep adjusting it as I was swimming.The waist band is wide however there is only a thin peice of elastic at the top of the waist band casing. It comes up to just under my bellybutton. I thought this might be a problem, but it wasn't at all. The legs of the shorts are even and did not roll up. This appears to be a quality made garment.My husband of 36 years said unprompted that the suit was cute, modest, yet didn't look matronly. My 7yo granddaughter loved the suit and was super happy for me to swim with her at the YMCA.
