These are surprisingly effective toys! They are FAST! Fun to play for the adult, and my little dog, who is very fast, loves to chase and grab these by the tail. She has shaken the heck out of them, and they keep on ticking. The remote has only two buttons: forward and reverse. Forward goes straight, reverse has the critter do a curved backup. So controlling them isn't very precise, but it works surprisingly well. They are very responsive...you can really challenge your pet with them. I don't think they'd survive a large dog's chewing....probably only good for cats and small dogs.Also, my order came with 3 mice AND three remotes. They're all on the same frequency, so you can't control them independently. But that means you can run two (or three) at the same time with one remote, which is kinda fun. While the dog has one incapacitated, you can attack it with the other mouse :)

They work. But...These are simply too big for cats to enjoy! Mine took one look and walked away.Maybe better if you have a rat terrier dog and wanted to train her to hunt?I took one to work and we all giggled when we used it to scare some of our unsuspecting co-workers. Talk about your toxic work environment! ;-)

These are great quality, and work very well. However, they are close to the size of a large rat than they are a mouse. My cats are scared of them, so I am now stuck with three "rats" that we are not able to use. I can't even give them away, because everyone has the same reaction (too scary looking to use as toys for their kitties). Seek other options for remote controlled cat toys, unless you cat is used to hunting animals larger than a mouse.

My two cats and my friends one cat are terrified of these mice and now if they even see the mouse they go running to hide. I think these might be better for dogs or just as play toys for small kids. I plan to re-gift mine to a small child.

These will SOMETIMES go forward and backward. That's it. No turning and if it goes off a rug from a hard surface, there's no going back. I have used the remote from 3 ft away and it always falters.

You get three toys with three remote controls. That should have been the warning sign. All three toys no longer work; they broke within 3 hours. Though they never really worked in the first place.

For large/smaller dogs. Has limited range and becomes earless almost imededietly.
