A Classic
Beautiful. Classic. Who wants to drink a 9oz Martini anymore? No, it's the 4oz N&N up drink that's in these days. This glass is exactly the look for the 21st century, even though it screams 1940's. Fun!

The glasses are Riedel quality, but appropriately vintage sized
I've seen a few reviewers who are disappointed the Nick and Nora glasses are so "small." Obviously these reviewers have never watched any of "The Thin Man" movies from the 1930s! Nick and Nora drank prodigiously, but the glasses were tiny. We're talking glasses that would have been common (checks notes) 90 years ago! With these glasses your dry Martini can be scaled back to the original size before we all decided to super-size everything. A classic Martini was 2-3 ounces...and these glasses hold 4 ounces (filled to the rim). In contrast, a "modern" martini glass may hold up to 10 ounces! That added capacity often results - particularly for home mixologists who don't have to worry about a profit margin - in a double-martini being considered standard based on glass capacity. These glasses are what they say they are...classic-sized glasses in a size consistent with what Nick and Nora would have used. Pour yourself a libation and stream one of the classic Thin Man movies.

Quality cocktail glasses
Perfect for classic cocktails! My husband fell way down the rabbit hole of mixology a few years back, and as part of that he got some quintessential cocktail recipe books. Most of the cocktails meant to be served in Nick and Nora glasses were meant for about a 5 oz glass, but we found a lot of Nick and Nora glasses sold were 6 oz glasses. This meant that the cocktail never quite filled the glass. Of course this was totally functional but it ruined the aesthetic of the cocktails. Bought this set for my husband for Christmas and he LOVES them. They feel and look really high quality. Good purchase!

Nick & Nora - dainty and fantastic
If you're buying these, you probably know what you're after - dainty, elegant and quite frankly as much as a stylistic statement as any drink could be. The shape/aspect ratio is absolutely perfect to my eye. In short, I love these glasses for some very specific uses - and I sometimes gravitate to certain cocktails just because I want to use these specific glasses. Could there be a higher praise? I haven't had them long enough to comment on durability and longevity, but even if they break with normal use, I would replace them immediately.

BEST MANHATTAN GLASS EVER MADE!
BEST MANHATTAN GLASS IN THE WHOLE WORLD! I work at Nick & Nino’s Pub in Kansas City Missouri near the airport and this is a crowd pleaser for sure! The recipe I use for my famous Manhattan is Served in: Chilled Riedel 5 oz Nick & Nora glass Style: Stirred, up Ingredients: 2 oz Basil Hayden Dark Rye (or your favorite Rye Whiskey or Bourbon) 1 oz Sweet Vermouth 2 dashes Fee Brothers Orange Bitters 1 dash Fee Brothers Aztec Chocolate Bitter ¼ oz Luxardo Black Cherry Juice 1 Luxardo Black Cherry for garnish Instructions: 1. Chill the glass: add ice and water in the Nick & Nora glass while you prepare the drink. 2. Add Makers Mark, Sweet Vermouth, Luxardo Black Cherry Juice, and both bitters to a mixing glass filled with ice. 3. Stir well for 20–30 seconds until chilled and diluted. 4. Dispose of the chilled water from the now chilled Riedel Nick & Nora Glass. 4. Strain mixture into the chilled Nick & Nora glass. 5. Garnish with a Luxardo cherry (drop in glass & lit it sink to the bottom) 6. Express a bit of orange peel oil over the top for aroma! BEST RECIPE EVER! THANK ME BY LETTING ME MAKE YOU ONE AT NICK & NINO’S PUB Address is 10024 N Ambassador Dr. Kansas City, MO 64153 I work Thursday Night, Friday Night & Saturday night from 7pm- 3am.

Another gorgeous Riedel glass, but too small.
Many others have said these 4oz glasses are too small, and I agree. Yet still others have said not so and I’m glad these glasses work for them, but they are by far in the minority of reviews here. The Nick & Nora shape is both a nice flashback design, but also has the practical advantage of being a far easier shape to sip out of than the more commonplace V-shaped martini glass. And much easier to carry and hold without sloppage. But at 4oz this is just not big enough for a 3-4oz martini plus garnish yet alone a larger pour. There are other Nick & Nora glassware alternatives to the Riedel and they seem to be in the 6oz-7oz range. Even Riedel’s other barware holds at least 50% more. I think Riedel missed this one. So now looking for other uses such as floating candles, tiny goldfish bowls, shadow box art for early Hollywood scenes, covering germinating seeds, you get the idea.

Very nice.
Lets start with the good. I got these for my wife after she broke her vintage martini glass. The bowl is very thin but the stem and base are sturdy. The amount of liquor it holds is good for a healthy martini. She really likes the fact they don't spill over the edge like a regular martini glass would well carrying it. The only bad thing is with the bowl being so thin the fist set that showed up one of the glasses was chipped. Not sure I would run these through a dishwasher I think these are more of a hand wash only item.

Lovely glassware, just don't drop them!
Riedel Drink Specific Glassware Nick & Nora Cocktail Glass, 4.94 oz I was delighted to get these glasses for summer gimlets. Although they are touted to be dishwasher safe, I hand-washed them and, unfortunately dropped one of the glasses when putting it away. It shattered into a million pieces. I plan to replace it, but will use even more care. They really are lovely, just handle with care.

Gorgeous, small coupe martini glasses. Perfect size for the perfect martini. I did break my first pair, my fault! So you do have to be careful with them. But they are classic and modern. Loved them enough to but a second set!

High quality Riedel Nick and Nora glasses, exactly what I would expect from a top drinking glass manufacturer. Or even better. I am very satisfied and plan to get some of the next types of glasses,

Might be slightly smaller than anticipated but adds to the retro feel. Still holds a double martini absolutely fine.

It’s not the most exclusive glass. There is a palpable seam on the stem, and, as this is my first experience with Riedel, I won’t speak to it’s quality or longetivity. That said, this was one of the top choices from editors of several mixology and cocktail-specific websites. We were specifically looking for the Nick and Nora glass (and there is whole world dedicated to this legendary moniker) and this shape was specifically visible in many scenes of the classic films. To start, the glass seems robust. the base is wider than the cup and, though fairly tall, it feels stable. The glass is reasonably thick without feeling clunky and the shape is just quite stunning. Volume-wise, it seems to hold what it should and it is nice to drink from. In short, for the price, it is a great buy, it is nice to use, doesn’t feel to fragile to handle and, most importantly, holds cocktails which one can drink from it.

I've always found the traditional 'martini' glass top-heavy and just too big. When I saw these I thought they'd be perfect. And they are. They hold a double-shot martini or negroni perfectly. The fine rim and shape make them a pleasure to drink from. The base is quite large and weighty (in a good way!). They never feel like they're going to tip. Highly recommended!
