Xbox 360 Live Vision Camera
Xbox 360 Live Vision Camera with 1 Month Xbox Live and Bonus Game Xbox 360 Live Vision Camera Xbox 360 Live Vision Camera with 1 Month Xbox Live and Bonus Game I am a Mac user and will share my experience with this webcam on Macs running Mac OS X. This is a pretty decent webcam and it works with the Mac without drivers. Note-- it will NOT work on USB 1 ports! You need USB 2 ports (i have a PowerMac G4 and i added usb 2 ports via pci expansion cards) The video quality is pretty good. You could twist the front lens for sharpness or softness of image. Works well with photobooth. Works well as a low end security cam too with EvoCam software (shareware sold separately; can be found on macupdate.com) This is a pretty good webcam for the price (under $15).

Excellent Apple iSight substitute
The inexpensive XBox 360 Live Vision camera is natively recognized by current versions of Mac OSX, without having to install any drivers: just plug it in, and you can immediately video conference using iChat, Skype, etc... Focus is manual (unlike the iSight, which has powered focusing and can be set to autofocus mode). The picture quality is excellent, very sharp and low light sensitivity perfectly adequate. A green light ring illuminates around the base of the lens to warn you that the camera is on. A perfect, inexpensive way to give your older Mac, Mac mini or MacPro video conferencing capability. Also in the box: a mono headset with mike for XBox. Unfortunately, the connector is just non-standard enough that it only works on XBox, but it's an extra toy for the same price. All in all, great value for Mac users!

Broken, Dangerous, Not in original package - 0 Stars
Possibly my fault, but from the photo of the product I did believe this would be in the original packaging, but I take the blame for that assumption, nowhere does it say that it is in the original packaging. I will not blame the seller for that part, I typically read descriptions thoroughly for any tricky deception of a product, but this trick slipped past me. Buyer beware, it's on me. However, this arrived damaged, but not from delivery. Where the cord is hard-wired into the camera, the cord is pulled through the base. This did not happen during shipping. This was shipped with the knowledge that the camera could no longer be moved or adjusted and that the cord was a concern. Just a glimpse of this for a second and you can see something is not right, very obvious, no way anyone put this in a bag to ship without realizing it was damaged. Plugged the Camera into the PC, and the camera instantly became too hot to touch. Should have never been shipped in this condition.

Camera is great but...
This add is very deceiving. You do get the camera, but not with the retail packaging and not with the headset! The item also did not come with a printed receipt. The camera is one of the best cameras I have ever used especially for the price. I have used it on many computers but never had to install any drivers. It just works.

Cheap webcam - so-so for Xbox 360, bare bones for PC
I bought this item knowing full well it was 'not as advanced' as the successor Kinect for Xbox 360. I did not want a Kinect, only this. I got it because I wanted to use the feature where you can capture your face (or a picture) to use as a face texture for your created boxer in 'Fight Night Champion' (a game from 2011 that's still online). It works (plug and play) on a windows 10 pc. Its cheap. Sadly the actual results are less than pleasing. Instead of grabbing a high quality scan, it basically ends up looking like a tattoo .. a very faint one, of your image superimposed upon the default face of the boxer. Since you can't do much for the skin tones of the default boxer or manipulate facial features like in some other games to a very great extent, it doesn't accomplish what you'd expect. The game is so old it no longer supports the uploading of photos which tended to produce better results. You can use the webcam to take a photo of your computer screen (after snapping a picture of a decent contrast image, like a cartoon clipart) but it ends up looking like face paint rather than an actual 'skin.' The reason this webcam is so cheap is also because it has no sound. There's a simple auto focus by rotating the stem around the aperture eye, and the whole thing is on a little ball joint 'neck.' It's easy to adjust... certainly much easier than the 'eyeball' early webcams out there. The picture is fine, and it has a built in light (that is very green and I put painters tape over it so it wouldn't create a glare on the computer screen when capping). What this webcam is good for is to take a picture to use as your profile pic on Xbox Live, or as a cheap spare for your PC. But for Xbox Live the one thing I got it for, it doesn't do so well. Great concept in principle but the game itself doesn't implement well. Haven't tried it with any other games but the list of supported titles is very small.

Great iSight alternative for Mac users
With the iSight no longer for sale, there are few alternatives for users of older Macs looking to use the video features of iChat AV. This camera works perfectly. The quality is decent and it's very small. Not a ton of extra features, but it works right out of the box without any other software. That is far better than lots of bells and whistles that only work OK. I don't own an xBox and can't speak to how this camera is for that, but it's a great camera to use with my computer and far cheaper (and better) than most aftermarket webcams.

Great replacement for unavailable iSight camera
Ordered this item (QuickBuys via Amazon Fulfillment) in March 2012, actually received the "You're in the Movies" Game package, but it does in fact include the Xbox 360 Vision camera, so no problem with that. This camera is far from HD or up to the modern top of the line, but it's a great little plug-and-play webcam for those who need a no-frills cam. It works with Mac OSX (10.5 and 10.6 at least) out of the box with no software, which is great for those like me with a Mac Mini (bring your own keyboard/mouse/screen means unless you pony up for Apple's VERY expensive monitors that have a built-in modern FaceTime Cam, then it means "bring your own" for the webcam too, and they stopped making the external iSight in 2006, and this is comparable specs to that one). Simple but effective. If you score a good price, it does its job well.

Xbox 360 Live Vision Camera
I purchased Xbox 360 Live Vision Camera for my son to use with his Gaming System and his PC as he streams for his company. It was very easy to install and set up. The pictures are very clear and they are easy t see up close as well as far away. I would purchase this to use with my Computer and my company as well

wonderful
very easy to hook up, and the feature that lets you manually adjust the focus is wonderful for areas where what you want to take a picture of is either very close to your xbox, or very far away. its a wonderful thing.
