Discover Science: Rocks and Fossils

A good beginning book for little ones to learn about geology. It has wonderful images and enough explantaion for the early grades.

This was bought for my 6 year old granddaughter who loves rocks and enjoys reading. It was a hit. Appropriate for her age to learn new terms and ideas.

Bought for my 6 year old grand-daughter who is interested in Geology for Christmas. Product as described, packaged well, shipped promptly.

fun book

This book is full of "millions of years" and is written from an evolutionary worldview. The words are large and few, yet riddled with unnecessary ones. I would not buy more from this series.

I bought this for my 9 year old daughter who is very interested in fossils. There are lots of lovely photographs in the book and easy to understand information. However, I do think that it was aimed at younger children than my daughter and maybe at those who are entirely new to learning about fossils. A good guide though.
