At first I really liked this RC car. Very fast and smooth, tight turning radius, and I LOVE the real rubber tires. The controller feels a bit cheap, and the steering is not proportional, meaning it is all 100% right turn or 100% left turn, but I could understand that limitation given the low price of this RC car.However, a big fault of this car is that BOTH batteries will now no longer hold a charge after only about 1 week of use (~1 hour or so a day), so I was forced to return it. I suspect this is due to the fact that it used older style Ni-Cad batteries instead of Ni-MH. Ni-Cad batters are cheaper and inferior to the newer Ni-MH and do not last as long, have strange memory effects, etc. I charged them as specified in the manual, but they still do not hold a charge anymore. It is really a shame since I was happy with the rest of the car.

It really did try to be a rc truck but it would be nice if it could turn. The body is really nice though. It's more of a 2.5 star just because of it's price. I've crashed it pretty good a few times (handling was an issue from the very first run) and it ran fine so its good for a kid but if you want to really get into rc your'e going to have to spend a little more money. I've learned. The handling really dose kill the enjoyment but I can't be mean and give it one star, it's the perfect gift for that nice or nephew that annoys the hell out of you.

Re update remote quit working probably used a total of an hour. Brand new batteries remote just wasn't putting out signal it kept stuttering!

Before opening the box you could hear the batteries rattling around, not packaged together. We decided to charged both batteries it came with so my child could play with this at the birthday party. Not even 3 minutes of use the car started to quickly stop & go. Kind of like puttering. We changed the batteries and same exact thing happened. Not a happy customer here!!

They delivered a used product. I have never experienced this type of sales at all!!!This manufacturer should be kicked out of this Amazon forever!!!
