Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This unit wobbles too much. The shaft that goes into the drill chuck is not aligned with the shaft of the auger. As you can see in the video the wobble is really bad a low speed and if you increase the speed for greater digging power the wobble is really bad.

Bought to use for planting some evergreen seedlings and I'm sure it would work good in other soils but mine has a large amount of gravel & it would catch the big stones, stalling the drill & nearly spraining my wrist. But it does appear to be well made.

This was an amazing item. I had 4 plats of flowers to plant and was so easy using it. I love my new toy as we call it. Fit the cordless drill and was the perfect size. Very well made too.

It did an okay job. Wish it was a little sharper. Recommend wetting ground if it is extremely dry. It's easy to use however, as you can image when you put the 12" auger onto the end of a drill it is a little awkward. All in all it was worth the money. I would recommend it.

So happy with this auger. It made planting my beds a piece of cake. Even big plants like peony bushes were easy. Excellent alternative to a shovel.

Makes my job go faster. Mainly used to refresh old soil in pots.

I thought this was a good value at first. It did the job. I have hard soil but only used it after flood irrigation which makes the soil quite soft until it dries up. I did about 20 holes over the past few weeks and it all seemed good. Then today I went out after irrigation and on the fourth hole it broke. I think it is poorly welded. I was using an old cordless drill that I could pretty much stop with my hand so it wasn’t caused by too much power/torque. Figured I’d just return it but when I checked my amazon account, wouldn’t you know, the return window closed 10 days ago. SON OF A GUN! I’ll try another seller and see if I have any better luck.

At first I was a bit concerned about the thickness of the center post thinking it may be too thick and blunt to penetrate the soil, but I was wrong. This auger drill bit easily dug into previously moistened soil with my 24 volt DeWalt cordless drill set on the slower speed with no problem. It kicked up imbedded rocks in the soil which I was easily able to pick up and toss out. Sometimes the rocks jerk the drill so having a drill with a second handle would be better. I turn the auger 30 to 45 degrees and use it to cultivate my garden also. I can easily mix in mulch or compost into the dirt or use it to destroy weeds.Only Negative: My drill gets dusty and I have to crouch down to use it, so I'm looking for an extension I can put on it.
