Herbal Hair Dye Dark Brown Natural Vegan Plant Based 3.5 Ounce

I rarely write reviews. And I've never used hair dye at home. But during the lockdown, to cover my 30% grey, I experimented with Logona #90 (Umber Brown or Dark Brown). Scared at first by the orange-y tint of my greys, I reapplied (again for 90 mins.). Still too many copper highlights; not my style. So I applied Logona Intense Black for 20 minutes. PERFECT!!! Very nice dark brown overall with mostly golden reflections—some red-copper in certain lights. I may experiment by mixing in the lighter brown and/or blonde shades to enhance the gold. But I don't really need to. For now it’s lovely as is. And the hair quality is stunning. After using my usual Devachan conditioner, the curls bounced right back. I'm not sure how I'll handle the new grey growth--can I just mix in the Intense Black with Dark Brown, or do I have to layer again?--but I've definitely seen the light! Not looking back...

Pros: It made my hair super soft and added volume. The color was nice while it lasted. You get two packets of color.Cons: When you mix the powder with hot water or coffee it's very gritty. I never could get it smooth. the grit makes it a bit hard to apply. I colored my hair two times with this product; once with boiling water and once with coffee. The first time I only left it on 2 hours.....it did okay, but washed out within a week. The next time I left it on for 6 hours. Both times my grays were more reddish than brown and it washed out quickly. On the instructions they have a 3 step process to make the color last- using a pre-treatment mask and an after color oil to help the color stay. Neither was sold on Amazon or anywhere else, so I was out of luck in trying the full process to see if it would help the color to last.

This product doesn't work for me. Didn't cover my dark blond roots :( Just waist of money.
