Once working it’s a set it and forget it. Highly recommended.
I ordered the GreenFeeder system from Amazon but went to pro products directly and ordered the easy install kit which came with the necessary connections to install the system. Installation was fairly simple. Their website has a video that does a good job at walking you through everything. I also called the company and orders just the black 5 gallon tank shown in the pic that goes above the ground. I mixed one gallon or the nature shield insect and pest control and 4 gallons of the grasssogreen. This was around spring time, and my yard looked like crap. It took a bit and my yard didn’t improve until the fall time, but the improvement is noticeable and I’m certain it will only get better. I used to pay TruGreen $70 monthly for an entire season. This will pay for itself in one season as I still have half the tank left and all 5 gallons cost me around $100. Customer service is amazing as they actually have individuals that answer the phone and want to help. Getting the system to siphon out originally took some trial as you have to run your system and see if it’s pumping while ensuring that the screw that holds the cap on is not too tight but not too lose. Once working it’s a set it and forget it. Highly recommended.

This simply does not work as advertised.
I purchased this item despite the bad reviews because the only other one on the market is several thousand dollars more expensive. This looked exactly like what I wanted - in fact it is exactly what I wanted. If it worked --- which it doesn't.I have a sprinkler system that is 40 PSI and 10 GPM - in other words average, and adequate, and within the standards that are referenced in the packaging for this product. I've tested both of these numbers on more than one occasion; they are accurate.I had some initial problems with priming that are common based on the reviews; these are fairly easy to overcome with the autopriming system. The company is responsive in terms of support, and helped me get it primed.IT WORKED INITIALLY. I could see the liquid mosquito repellant slowly moving through the clear tubing. I'm not sure how long it worked before stopping, because I went back out after two weeks to check and see how much mosquito repellant had been used (very little). When the sprinkler system was on and the ProFeeder was on, their was still no flow (slow or otherwise) through the tubing. So it appears to have worked only a short while. To the company's benefit (and I considered two stars) they have humans that answer your call, and try to help. I got a replacement injector (internal parts, lid, tubing) from the company, and installed. It too does not work. I don't have a complex system, it's a 1" water line connected to a sprinkler system. The ProFeeder sits before the sprinkler system. I take the guts out, the impeller is working, the gears are turning, the on/off lever is turning the on/off component, but there is no flow of liquid from the container to the sprinkler system.I've now tried three different injector systems for this ProFeeder. It simply doesn't work. I've lost many hours of my time and $185.00 (past the window for returns) - it was a gamble and I lost. I hope this post helps you.

It works perfectly, I recommend it.
The media could not be loaded. Very practical, it works perfectly with the sprinkler system it sucks up the fertilizer very well..

awesome but pick the correct installation components
the product ships with several water pressure inserts. If your on city water with a typical pressure rating, use the "RED" nozzle. The other options will only come into play if using well water with the ability to increase/decrease water pressure at the pump. The other consideration is the type of connection...one kit option includes an "EASY CONNECT KIT". I found this kit to have issues, especially if trying to figure out which "Nozzle" to use as there is no easy way to remove once installed. The other installation option the P1X-UNIONKIT (see pic) which needs to be ordered separately from the GREENFEEDER website customer service. This in-line kit took all of 5 min to install, and the finished system has produced amazing results.Recognizing the benefits, 5 of my neighbors have since installed the system.

Internal Part Fails Constantly
When I first installed this product about 10 years ago, the original model worked for probably 8 years without fail. After this I began to have to replace the internal mechanism quite regularly. I have probably replaced 10 internal mechanisms and the entire unit 1 time. From what I understand, they had a batch of units made that ended up being defective. Most of the time, I take out a working mechanism in the fall to put in the winter plug and then when I put the same one back in the next spring it will not siphon.

doesn’t work
this is the biggest piece of trash on the market, the flow rate is horrendous, sometimes it draws at start up sometimes it never draws without taking it apart and manually manipulating the gears ( a real piece of trash !!!! )

Installed it and it’s not siphoning i installed it wrong
I installed it. My sprinkle system is fairly easy to install. It’s just does not work. It’s not siphoning the liquid fertilizer. Called American hydro they talked me through how to install it and even overnighted me new parts for it and it’s working great now got some parts for the Hydro system. Very good customer service.
