More history than ‘how to”
It was more history of modeling and not a modelers reference. But ot is a very interesting read and i am glad i bought it

Not For Beginners
If you are looking for a book that describes how to build plastic models, this isn’t it. It’s a beautiful book with great content but the title is misleading. It should be called Everything You Wanted to Know About the Plastic Modeling Industry. Beginners don’t usually care about scale or how injection molding is done. Experienced modelers want a lot more detail. With that said, this is a good armchair book that does provide some good information. But if you are a beginner and just want to improve, I’d recommend Plastic Aircraft Models by Roscoe Creed. It’s old but still great.

A useful book for any hobby.

Filler
Half the book is about the history and such of models. When I buy a MANUAL from Haynes I expect hands-on, down and dirty model building. They get around to it but that's not what I expected.
