It definitely works
I've read the other reviews and after using the sleep noodle for a few weeks I wanted to write my own review. First, I'll say there's a few pros and cons to the sleep noodle. At heart it's a basically a good design that definitely works. You will feel a lot more well rested and sleep on your side. Many mornings I wake up on my side next to my wife feeling a lot better! Now I will say it takes time to get used to it and I mean more than a few days too! At first, it's rather uncomfortable against the back but, once you find the right spot it's fine for the most part. Overall it definitely works but, needs some getting used too. The trade off is you sleep much better and it's well worth buying.

Don't Buy
Too uncomfortable to use. The belt fit correctly and I followed the directions. I couldn't go to sleep. I'm a light sleeper and would never have gotten used to it.

Uncomfortable to use, left me more tired than when I went to bed
I purchase this (and returned it) to prevent me from sleeping on my back. It is supposed to solve snoring problems, but my issue was/is sleep apnea. This item is a roll of high density foam in a cloth holder with a strap. You are supposed to put it on so that the Noodle fits across your back so that rolling on your back is uncomfortable. Pulling the strap tight enough to prevent slippage is uncomfortable to say the least. It prevents sleeping on your back because in my case it prevented sleeping period. I returned it and devised something of my own with materials I had around the house and that seems to work reasonably well and at least I can get some sleep. My device was free and beats this $50 contraption.

Alternative without CPAP
I really did not want to add something to my body for sleep, but with the CPAP recall I had to do something. This noodle keeps me on my side so I don’t snore. It took a day or two to get used to. I probably would have liked a smaller size, but it works. I have learned to roll over from side to stomach to side instead of side-back-side. So I can be in both sides. I sleep with this every night.

Works perfectly
Other reviewers complain that it's uncomfortable, but it's supposed to be uncomfortable, except when sleeping on your side or stomach. I was using a tennis ball in the back of a shirt, but I found the tennis ball wasn't big enough -- I would still roll over almost flat on my back and the tennis ball would move to the side. The Sleep Noodle that extends across my back (instead of the Sleep Noodle that aligns with the spine) works for me because it extends the width of my back and I really cannot sleep even partly on my back, which is the point. I have a 32" waist so I ordered the standard size, which is, surprisingly, almost too small for me. It feels very tight. The directions say to wear it around your chest, but it is indeed very uncomfortable that way -- very tight like it would restrict my breathing. So I wear it around my waist, and it is OK that way. This thing is ideal for me. I could not design a better one. But if you have even a medium size or bigger chest, I would go for the larger model.

Painful Unless Modified (Here's How)
This thing works. Once strapped on, it will definitely keep you on your side—waking you up in pain if you roll onto your back. The main problem is the almost-rigid insert inside the fanny pack-like device. It may as well be a sack of gravel. I modified mine by removing the cheap "noodle" (a section of a kid's pool toy) and stuffing it tight with an old small pillow that takes up all the room in the zipper-case area. Now it still wakes me up in I roll onto my back, but doesn't hurt like hell when I do. I still find it uncomfortable to wear (note—I generally sleep nude, but a t-shirt helps some with the discomfort). I often just don't put it on when going to bed because it's like wearing a fanny pack around my chest. The straps that hold it to your chest are designed well and quite adjustable; it's just that I find it annoying to wear. But, with my modification, it does work, and isn't painful. It keeps me off my back, helping with sleep apnea and my considerable back pain I get from sleeping on my back.

It works!
I've been using the sleep noodle for 3 weeks now and have adjusted to it by using it every night consistently. I'm 5'2, 165 lbs female. I bought the large and it wraps around me comfortably. Whenever my body moves to turn on my back I feel the noodle and move back to the left side position. Your body will adjust to a comfortable position sleeping on your side for several hours without hip discomfort eventually. I am noticing that I'm sleeping longer, 71/2 to 8 hours of sleep, feeling rested! I highly recommend this product for people that have low to moderate sleep apnea. I have no apnea sleeping on my side and moderate apnea on my back. This was recommended to me by a dentist that specializes in mouth devices for apnea. I'm very pleased with the results!

This actually works very well and is an inexpensive option. Definitely holds me in place so I don't sleep on my back and snore. Super simple.

Je fais de l’apnée du sommeil quand je dors sur le dos. SleepNoodle oblige à dormir sur le coté. Il nuit aux conditions provoquant l’apné. Je l’utilise que de puis quelques jours, à date, il semble efficace.

After being diagnosed with mild sleep apnea, the doctor recommended this, as I don't require a CPAP (thank goodness)... That being said, I can't get used to wearing this. I move far too much and am pretty sure I ordered a size too big. It does what it's supposed to do, which is prevent you from sleeping on your back, I personally just can't get used to wearing it to sleep.
