Best book on mudras
First off, the artwork in this book is beautifully outstanding! It has loads of info and is organized in a way that conveys it easily. Highly highly recommend, you won't find a more thorough book on sacred mudras

Incredible, beautiful and well organized. A must have resource for any teacher or student.
This is by far the most extensive, well-research, clearly organized and beautiful book on yoga mudras I have ever seen. This book is clearly a labor of love and I can't imagine how long it must have taken for them to write it.The book is organized into section for the different uses of mudras, some of which are: mudras for the koshas, chakras, vayus, health challenges, the 5 elements, protection and spiritual awakening.Each mudra has a "quick reference guide" which not only outlines the steps for performing it, but the benefits, characteristics, core qualities and more.Additionally, their are seven appendices in the back illustrating mudras for the main asanas, pranayama, chanting, therapy and other uses.And the illustrations are really, really beautiful.At 658 pages this is an incredible resource and it is very nice that it is now available as an ebook (on Amazon.com) so that you can take it with you without carrying an encyclopedia! However, the softcover version is also available through their website.I give this book my highest rating. It is an absolutely must-have for any yoga teacher or serious student of yoga. It has become one of my favorite and useful books
Well worth the investment! I have both the paperback book and the Kindle version for when I'm on the go. As a practicing nurse for 20 years and now transitioned to an energy healing practitioner and Reiki teacher, I have found this book to be helpful in my own meditation time as well as to share with students and clients.There are 108 different mudras covered in this book. Each mudra has a quick guide chart for benefits/use; extensive details about its use; sketched pictures with instructions to show how to place your hands; and a guided meditation to deepen the experience. If I'm feeling off in a certain area of my body or in an aspect of my life, I look for a mudra that correlates and add it to my meditation time. I can feel it assist in clearing blocks and shifting my energy, especially when using the guided meditations as well.Thank you to the authors for sharing this wisdom to help bring forth healing and balance of the body, mind, and spirit! It has become one of my favorite and useful books. It's a great supplement to any holistic health and healing practice.

Wonderfully comprehensive and effective
Best book on mudras so far, use it daily. I skip the guided meditations and some of the descriptions of the effects by energy bodies are slightly redundant but this is a fabulous reference organized by all the topics one could be interested in. It’s very helpful to be able to see which mudra decreases Vata, increases the water element, helps with this spiritual matter rather than a random collection.Love the list of effects by chakras, on dishes, by elements, and energy currents and I’ve found these to be very accurate. Definitely more of a spiritual perspective than a more practical one, even though there are mudras for physical issues. The mudras do work right away for me, they are such powerful and easy tools for energy alignment, mood management and self healing.

Very accurate
Just received the book yesterday, I know it will be my companion for many months and years ahead. Very clearly presented, I had bought it also on the Kindle, but this is definitely the kind of book I want to read on paper.Of particular interest in this book the chapters on mudras and asanas, mudras and mantras, mudras and pranayama, I think that these associations are derived from the authors' personal experience (this should have been stated more clearly, I think). Similarly, all the information about each mudra's effect on health, energy etc. should be taken only as general possibility and tested personally, because each person is different.Anyway, a great book, highly recommended if you are interested in the fascinating practice of mudras.

Amazing Book !
Love this book and use it all the time to teach students about the power of meditating using mudras.Thank you!! I have been teaching children's yoga classes and they catch on quickly and love learning new mudra signs and sharing them with their friends. It's like secret codes. So much time and energy went into this book I can keep reading and am always learning something new.

Comprehensive and easy to navigate!
This is such a beautiful book! The descriptions are powerful, the meditations are potent, and the information is so comprehensive! I have been looking for a one-stop-shop to Mudras for a long time and this is by far the best guide I have come across.

This book has so much more to it than you would think! A very valuable tool if you teach yoga or meditation.

Superb book highly recommended
This book is for anyone wanting to know more about the ancient practice of Mudras and how they can support your journey of health and well-being. Laid out in easy to access chapters, Joseph and Lilian have written a superb book that I recommend to all of my students. Really pleased this book is out in the Kindle version.

Deep Dive into Mudras
Anjali Mudra, the gesture of reverence. Mudras for Healing and Transformation states that Anjali Mudra supports the immune system, balances chakras, activates all the elements. Comforting to have this book as a reference. Table of contents lists Ayurvedic healing mudras, mudras for meditation, mudras for pranayama and yoga postures, as well as mudras for health challenges. Very helpful and easy to read as well as a beautiful layout.Love and Light Namaste

Very thorough, complete and practical overview of 108 mudras
This book is a delight from beginning to end. It begins with a short history of mudras, They use an Ayurvedic approach so that the practitioner has multi modalities to choose from as they familiarize themselves with each mudra. Every mudra has it's own meditation, and an explanation of how the mudra affects each of the five subtle bodies. There is also a 1to 10 scale that rates it's calming or energizing effects, what physical systems are balanced, prana vayus nourished, and chakras balanced.Beginning chapters start with the simpler mudras. There is a long chapter on mudras for health challenges, and then subsequent chapters focus on the more esoteric aspects such as mudras for the chakras, Nadis, etc.What I like most about this book is that although it is fairly advanced it walks you through each mudra devoting many pages to each one. It does not assume prior knowledge of its concepts as it explains them at the beginning of each chapter. It is a very user friendly book . I recommend it highly.
