EDIT: after almost daily use for ~3 months, the filter straw stopped working (nothing can be sucked up). The rubber stopper also kept falling out, causing leaks. I only used this with potable tap water (& a water fountain in Rome ONCE) so it is pretty disappointing. Thankfully it lasted through my trip overseas - served the purpose I bought it for.As instructed, I sucked water and spat out about 10 times before use and after a while the water is no longer black. I used potable water and there's no weird taste coming from the filter. A little hard to suck the water but that's with all filtered bottles. Compass included is so cute. Remember to fill the bottle only up to 80% because the filter straw takes up space.Delivery time is OK, but the box was a bit torn and dented. Products itself had no damage so I'm OK with that, just that it wouldn't make very presentable gifts if that's what anybody had in mind. Other than that I would recommend this! Price for 2 bottles is pretty worth it, for a filter bottle that claims to be able to last 6mth to a year, since most other filter bottles require changing the filters often (and the filters aren't cheap!) Would buy again if I need it. Thanks!
