I absolutely love this rod!!! I have a long love affair with Ugly Stik rods, especially the Elite line. They are affordable, come in a nice range of actions and are extremely rugged. After a foot injury this year, I strapped this rod to a vest and butt-scooted down into trout ponds through the bush, without having to baby a delicate rod. This rod has enough length to cast nicely across a pond or river, but is very sensitive. I love the ultra-light for ramping up the fun of reeling in small panfish, but have also landed 20" smallies with this as well!! Definitely recommend!

Introduced my grandson to fishing on his visit to the US, brought the reel he used on our visit to Germany but couldn't bring his pole. Although not identical to the Ugly Stick he was using this will allow him to continue to fish. Bought his dad the identical rod and reel also so they can fish together.

I bought a 6'6" Ultra Light used. It came in packaged with plastic and tags looking brand new. The rod is good quality, light and very durable. I liked the Elite so much that I bought a medium 6'6" Elite. I tried the ultra sensitive all graphite expensive rods and I am done breaking the bank and my rods. I own 7 Ugly Stiks now and I dont think I will buy anything else. They just can't be beat! I put a Pflueger President on my medium for bass fishing and a Pflueger Trion on the ultra lite for pan fishing. These are great combos and I love using them.
