This two disc set contains three road trip style adventures by the Top Gear team. All three of the regular presenters - Clarkson, Hammond and May - are here across all three adventures and they are;The Middle East Adventure: The team start off in Iraq and have to make their way through Bethlehem. Like many of their other adventures this one is done in cheap second hand cars. The dramas that the political and military situations in some of these countries do much to complicate things. The scenery of Iraq is an eye opener as is the huge groundswell of hospitality they guys are afforded.The US road trip: Speaking of hospitality the boys are afforded plenty of it as they cruise through the US in three very expensive pieces of machinery. The road trip has cars, guns and a satnav race against the clock in New York.The Albania road trip: With the premise of taking three superb vehicles on a test drive to see which one of them would be best for an Albanian Mafiosi the team travel through the countryside of this small European nation having all sorts of fun looking at the wreckage of the paranoid Enver Hoxha years while making the most out of Bentleys refusal to take part in the show, resulting in Clarkson having to make alternate arrangements.A good triple treat of Top Gear this one, the drives taking place in countries about as disparate as you can get and each location coming up trumps in different ways.

Top Gear The Great Adventures 4 dvd, 2 dvd boxes in a boxset like the other Top Gear great adventures. 3 adventures on 2 disks.Middle East Special;The presenters are challenged to re-enact the journey of the Three Wise Men by travelling from northern Iraq to a stable in Bethlehem, using second-hand two-seater convertibles bought for £3,500. As Israel will not allow cars registered in its surrounding neighbours to enter its borders, they must buy cars from Georgia before flying to their destination in an Ilyushin Il-76TD cargo plane. Jeremy buys a Mazda MX-5, Richard a Fiat Barchetta and James a BMW Z3. As in previous challenges, a spare car is provided to any presenter whose car breaks down. For this challenge, that car is an Opel Astra convertible - a car loathed by all three presenters.After landing at Arbil International Airport in Iraqi Kurdistan, the three decide that it is too dangerous to drive directly to Bethlehem as it would involve travelling through the Mosul. Instead,they try and cross into Iran and then doubling back into Turkey and down into Syria to avoid the dangers of Iraq.They have a number of incidents on the way, and Captain slow has a nasty bang on the head, but thankfully he is ok.This is one of the better adventures and fitted well in with the Christmas period it was first shown (26 December 2010)U.S. Road Trip;The presenters head over to the US for a road trip. Jeremy brings a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, James a Ferrari 458 Italia, and Richard, predictably, a Porsche 997 GT3 RS.Initially beginning on the pretext to see whether Virginia's Blue Ridge Parkway can depose the Transfăgărăşan as the best driving road in the world, they were quickly stifled by the average speed limit of a whopping 35 mph (60 km/h). In North Carolina to go on a Speedway where, after an agreement with the Mayor, they begin racing around. The next morning they wake up to the sound of cars, where they had stopped was a raceway, so straight away, there they are. the presenters have a drive-by shooting challenge: they sit in the passenger side seat of their cars and pump bullets into cardboard standees of The Stig. (This is due to the then Stig revealing himself via his book)The next day, the three presenters take a car journey all the way to New York. When in New York their final challenge: to be the first to reach the set of an American television show.This is another good adventure.Albania;he guys get a letter from the Albanian Mafia asking them to test the new Rolls-Royce Ghost against a Bentley and a Mercedes. Despite their fervent objections, they eventually agree to the testing. James takes the Rolls-Royce, Richard a Mercedes-Benz S-Class AMG, and Jeremy opts for a Bentley Mulsanne. Unfortunately, at the last second, Bentley pulls out of the comparison, leaving Jeremy to arrange to drive a Yugo in its place.During the comparison, the trio carries on as if the Yugo is a Bentley Mulsanne, even calling the small hatchback a Bentley by name. While in Albania, they hold several tests to determine which of their cars would be best for a Mafia boss.This was broadcast as part of series 16 and is a good outing.

The Top Gear's 2011 expeditions sees them trek across the Middle East in the role of the Three Wise Men, encountering strict border control, surviving the dangers of a Syrian desert...and each other. There's plenty of great, refreshing laughs, excitement & thrills to be found in this superb special. As is the case with the USA & Albania Road Trips.Featuring plenty of mad antics, recommendations for the mafia on what the best car is, a shocking fate for James May, revenge drive-by shooting on the Stig, among many more highlights and wonderful special features, this is a set no fan can do without!

A fascinating and at the same time exilharating and hylarious adventure through the places of Jesus's story and middle east in general. No need to say that the guys reckless irony, politically uncorrectness, and the show perfect craft quality make it much more captivating and lively.

This was bought for my nephew as a present. It always seems to be difficult to think of things that a man might like as a present but this went down very well as he is a great Top Gear Fan and fortunately for me it was the only one of their Great Adventures he had not yet bought on Blue-ray, so a happy nephew and happy Auntie.

If you fancy the Top Gear-presenters, you'll like this one. If you can't stand them, you won't.

Top Gear's adventures are brilliant and me and my son can sit and watch them endlessly. It is amazing what three "not so young" guys can do - and yes - I know they have a ton of support and people helping - but it's fun and very entertaining so just enjoy!

Top Gear doing what they know best. Hilarious road trips across the Middle East, Albania and the States. Make sure the wife's out, grab a six pack, feet up and enjoy the ride!

Love it and watch it a lot. Classic Top Gear and brilliant.

Fantastic and now Jeremy has been fired a must for your collection due to the team no longer together.

Bought for hubby who's a long distant lorry driver to watch on an evening, he loved it. Easy to watch, gave him a laugh , son and son-in law waiting to borrow it when he's finished!

These Top Gear Specials are so much better on BluRay. They are the full un-edited versions so rather than a 1 hour TV version you often get 1 and a half hours. Lots crammed onto the disks too. Recommended.
