Certified Professional Photographer Exam Secrets Study Guide: CPP Test Review for the Certified Professional Photographer Exam

This test preparation guide provides a great overview of the main points for photography in preparation for the Certified Professional Photographer Exam. The guide is not very long, which is helpful for just getting to the main points rather than having hundreds of pages of fluff. There are also a lot of tips in the book regarding general test preparation skills such as overcoming anxiety and how to study effectively. The guide also offers many links to (free) bonus content online, including videos and flashcards to further help your study.

Although the book was informative. I found it to be outdated as much of the content concentrated on film photography and not so much digital. There were no film related pre or post production questions on the recent exam.

There as a lot of information in the small book. Their were great ideas on the approach to preparing for the exam. But I really love the break down/definition of things like aperture, focal length, etc, just great information.

Basically a glossary of terms - a poorly written book and useless for the CPP.

It really help you improve your study

This book does not cover anything about the CPP exam. No diagrams, no sample or practice questions. The chapters discuss general test taking strategies, like, "prepare in advance", and the process of elimination. Give me a break. I didn't research it, but I would guess that these chapters have been added to many books on certification for other industries. The middle of the book contains content about photography, but its basic and NOT in any way worth spending $50 on. Contrary to the title "CPP Exam Secrets Study Guide", the content offers nothing ""secret", nor is it a study guide. Save your money. I wish I could give it 0 stars!

Ordered this book and flash cards as an additional resource for study. Glad I did. Some useful information that wasn’t in my other review books.
