Works ad advertised, just make sure the terminals are tight on the battery. Mine came apart with the bumps and it stopped charging.

Nice and easy product and install.
Ordered this model because it has the visual quick check of battery built-in. On my other trailer which just have a battery, I always pull it out and charge it in the garage. This new Hopkins will make it easier for me and no more guessing. The unit mounts and installs easily and the wire instructions are simple and easy to follow. I have never installed one before, and it worked the first time I hit the brakes (trailer was off the ground). The trailer has 4 axles with 2 wheels and brakes on each, not your normal "toy hauler". I will recommend this unit. Good luck, John

Perfect kit
This break away kit is just what i needed for my trailer, i could have used only a breakaway switch and the 12v batteries but i’d rather have the insurance that the break away battery is always charged. It’s connected to the 12v system of the trailer so that it charges while driving and have a push button to make sure it’s full before going on a trip. Overall nice kit for diy trailer or as replacement

Best price for new that I found online!
This was a direct replacement for my trailer so fitment was perfect. Great product and really like the on board battery tester. The shipping box was slightly damaged (not the suppliers fault I'm sure, probably happened during shipping), but the contents were undamaged. Delivery was 2 days ahead of schedule which was really nice too. Definitely recommend.
