as a big gorillaz fan (top .02 percent of listeners on spotify little flex) you wont regret this. if you haven't gotten the album buy it. i dont care if its dumb to own music physically do it for the novelty vote with your dollar for gorillaz

The media could not be loaded. At first when i tried it on the record player it skipped some parts of the songs, but i read another review from a guy saying that you need to add weight on the stylus! As you can see i added a quarter on top and tied it with a small hair tie so it doesnt fall off, and when i did that the songs wouldnt skip any parts! Absolutely no skipping! I love it!! 10/10

Living in South Korea, I was way behind the buzz when the Gorillaz released this second album. I simply saw the title on my Amazon.com recommendations list. I loved their self-titled debut so much that I immediately ordered "Demon Days." I never heard or read one word about the album. I got the CD in the mail, listened to it, and loved it. So, point number one: if you liked the first one, you'll like this one.What should the rest of you expect? The cartoon side-project that is represented by this group (which is really less of a "group" and more the brain-child of Damon Alburn of Blur) is a heavily experimental affair. Where the first record moved all over the map, toying with new mixes of old sounds, this record has a definite (almost narrative) flow. It starts with "Last Living Souls" in bass-heavy darkness, the music rich and wide with a cavernous feel, a hint of up-swing to the playfully gloomy sound."Kids With Guns," "O Green World," and "Dirty Harry," in spite of their playground pop sounds, are all similarly creepy. They play with lilting electronica and prodding rhythms, underlaying these things with an addictive, scabrous disonance.Then comes the appropriately mislabled "Feel Good Inc.," the first single of the record, and with good reason. Featuring unsettling back-laughter, penitent lyrics, and De La Soul's invigorating voice, this song courts the album's dark mood with a lighthearded step.That lightheartedness slinks away and hides in the next four tracks (with names like "All Alone" and "Every Planet We Reach Is Dead," that's to be expected). A tapestry of needfulness, lamentation, frustration, and yen-like confusion is woven in songs that are alternately soft and wirey, tender and knuckled. The dreariness is toppped off in "All Alone," which also includes a chorale of hope, leading into the next stellar track, DARE.Easily the centerpiece of this album, DARE is a futuristic world-hopper, an incredibly fun, amazingly crafted soul-massage. Deep driving buzzes mixed expertly with high, stratospheric hums make for a song that is both playful and dreary, a combination that works, and works well.Dennis Hopper's spoken-word "Fire Coming Out Of The Monkey's Head" isn't so notable, although it does segue (thematically and musically) into the album's final key notes of redemption. Church choir joy fills up "Don't Get Lost In Heaven," a song that is like the equivalent of a warm, amber dawn after a cool, ghost-plagued night. The next song, "Demon Days," is hardly another song at all, but the second half of the album's send-off into a brighter and happier world.An inspired musical journey through twilight into day (or, if you prefer, simply a collection of fun, intelligent music), "Demon Days" is a world you'll enjoy visiting.

So this is my second time buying the record, the first time it was skipping on every song I played and it had big and I mean BIG scratches on it, so I returned it and bought the second one. The second time I bought it no scratches but it still slipped on every song I played. So over all I spent $65 plus tax so if you want to try and get a non messed up record go ahead but it’s just a warning for someone buying a record on Amazon for the first time

People in other reviews said that it skipped a lot, but I did not have that problem. I think that’s just the thing with vinyls, in kind of hit and miss. Mine had no trouble whatsoever other than a tiny skip in White Light, which I barely would have noticed if I wasn’t paying attention. It’s a fantastic album, one of my favorites, it sounds great, and the packaging is wonderful. Would buy for a friend. Get it if you’re hesitant, just know there’s a risk of it not being perfect. (put some pennies on the needle with a rubber band if it skips at all. I did this just in case. It adds pressure and makes it play a little better)

I love this, for the price its amazing! Outer packaging with the band members was untouched and awesome! The exclusive booklet was also in great condition, I loved the art!Both contained the album and exclusive DVD, the CD was slightly scratched (Which is fine, I played it all the way through, no skips!)I got to the exclusive DVD it was moderately scratched and had a patch of dirt/grime on it.Can't really do much about the scratches (but we cleaned the dirt/grime on our part no biggie!)I need to let fans know that when I attempted to play the exclusive DVD on windows media player... IT DID NOT WORK.Anything surpassing old macromedia 6+ (Which is now adobe) Probably won't play it. Unless you have Windows 7, 8, XP, vista then it might work. There are instructions on the last page of the booklet.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------You will need something like PowerDVD 16, (you can get a free 30 day trial) which I used to access the exclusive content.I do not know how to access the secret wallpapers and online stuff regarding to the old Gorillaz website... the site itself is outdated and is not functioning anymore (I had to go to internet archives to find it, go figure *shrugs* Its gone.. welp ;_;)If anyone knows how to access it or know what the online stuff was, please let me know.I gave 4 stars for the condition of the discs, since they're scratched.. but that's fine!They still work, I'm just very particular in taking care of my discs on a daily basis and seeing them in mint condition (not scratched)I would give 4 and a half but that isn't possible for amazon lol..This made a wonderful piece to my collection, for a cheap price too!!Hurry and get this before phase 4! Limited editions like these might not be around anymore o_oThank you!
