Romania Marco Polo Map (Marco Polo Maps) Map – Folded Map, March 11, 2013

Good detail, will post about accuracy after we try to use it on our road trip next month

We drove around Romania for a week and found this map (though slightly outdated) to be a BIG help getting around.

There might be thousands of little villages too small to be on the map, but whatever the reason it wasn't always easy to reconcile the villages we were in with the map. Highly recommend having a GPS. One other complaint was a road that appeared to be relatively major on the map but was incredibly rough, keeping our speed below 20 km/hour.

. It shows only small part of Budapest. Very small portion of the Buda side. Believe me, I was born there.

I like having a map as backup in case there are any GPS issues, plus it is nice to have the nearby sights noted in case we have sightseeing time to spare. Good quality map.

If you are buying this to get around the country by car then you may find this doesn't have enough detail to allow you to venture far from the main roads. there are very few POI's and it is really only a map showing the main routes and arterial roads.

The only slight disappointment with this map is that the railways are not very clearly delineated.It si excellent for roads.

A really useful map that we made good use of in an anticlockwise tour of Romania.

I should have bought a more detailed map of the areas I want to visit. To small scale for me..and looked better on line.
