After having these treats for about three days -- probably 5 half-sticks (we cut them in half because they were huge), our dog became listless and showed signs of abdominal distress. He was having diarrhea, and would not eat anything at all. We took him to our veterinarian and through the process of elimination concluded that these treats were the only thing in his diet that had changed. We gave him no more, and began a bland diet of home-cooked beef and pumpkin. Within another two days he had broken out with a rash on his hind legs which the veterinarian -- on a second visit -- concluded was caused by a "reaction to something." Again, these were the only things that were different in his diet or routine. He had neither fleas nor ticks that would have caused the rash and had been nowhere besides the back yard. (He's older and no longer wants long walks; a trip around the back yard is sufficient for him.Obviously he has not had another one of the gullet sticks and is now doing fine and the rash has cleared up. I don't know what is in or on these sticks, but I certainly will never buy another one. (Now, I have a large quantity of them and don't know what to do with them. I certainly wouldn't give them to someone I know, and I am afraid to simply throw them away for fear some other animal will get them and be harmed by them. Not a good situation.)Don't buy them.

Been buying individually wrapped gullets (barkworthies brand) for years'z..t'was all I could find.. but taking them out o the plastic wrappers wuz simply maddening🤯.. n all's the extra plastic n waste for 🌎 is purty unnecessary.. ➕that other brand & CSR being a constant issue.. thrilled to find these😭🙌..Not only are these grass fed🙌🙌🙌🙌, these guys comezes unwrappeded in (misc..) bag😭😭😭 (ziplock or sealed🤷‍♀️🎲).. I cut them in skinnier strips for my treś small n xs pups.. give them a few/day. None of us seemed to notice any diff between these n other. ((Buying our 2nd bag & setting up subscription now..))It's SUPER important what we put in their little bodies. A few $$ extra here n there is NOTHING when it comes to quality & length of life..& vet bills💸. Single source treat. No added bull. Literally. & 🐩🐕🐶Dogs need to chew to keep teeth 🦷clean n strong 💪.. this also adds nutrition, protein, glucosamine.. it's a no-🧠er. If you haven't given to your pup's yet, try! They will❤️🌈🌹❗️❣️.. Just a lil too much..n 👀 out.. They'll gives you those pup eyes 🥺🐶.. a few too many chomps later..😳🎺💨N the whole🏡 gets hit🌪💩😭😵..😒((*Updates: 2nd bag received today 12/15/19 ..very thick generous pieces.. I feel we're getting our 💰💰 worth.👍 1/25/20: ..continuing to buy and have started experiencing thick n meatiness variance between 6"-12" lengths.. weight or piece# purchased..🤷‍♀️.. so been holding off subscription or larger better bang for buck $100🛍 for now..)

We bought these chews a few times and had no complaints, our dog seemed to like it almost as much as the gourmet chews at our local dog boutique. But the last batch smelled awful, so much so that it was hard to be in the same room with our dog when he started chewing it and later our dog threw up, which could’ve been a complete coincidence, but considering that our dog is very healthy and has a pretty hard stomach, we figured this was what caused him to throw up. I’m not sure if they changed their formula or the processing or maybe even buying inferior meats or a different supplier, but just be aware.

Was feeding my dogs raw hides and then read an article about how bad these are for dogs. Was looking for an alternative and came across these. My dogs don't even think twice when I offer it to them. They gobble them down and beg for more. They do not smell bad - there's a small odor, but not overbearing by any means. They could be cut in half easily for smaller dogs. I have done this a couple of times when I was running low on them and didn't have enough until I got my next order. They are not super hard. Firm, but flexible. Like a tendon that has dried out. They don't last long - I have a lab and sheepdog - they are gone in minutes. So, down side, not as long lasting as a rawhide, but the comfort in knowing that they are healthier and providing some good nutrients for my dogs is worth it. They are expensive - wish they were a bit less so. I also buy my dogs fish skins and they love these too.

Great communication, my first bag had no label and the customer service department quickly sent me a digital label and had great communication with me to resolve my issues. I did cut them up a bit since my dog was small. :)

I had read all the reviews on this product and decided to give them a try. We have a new golden retriever puppy that is nothing but a mouth with teeth! He absolutely LOVES these things. They don't last more than 15 minutes, but it satisfies his urgent desires to chew! I don't notice any nasty smell from them either. The only thing I would say is to either give these to chew on outside, or on a towel or blanket, as you will for sure have little pieces everywhere. Great product, and no harmful preservatives.

My dog loves this treat! The best part I love about it is it doesn't give my dog weak stool unlike other jerky treats. I have tried many treats as a reward but this by far is the best! It's all natural and offers great health benefits for my dog. The only complain I have is it does have a fairly strong smell which doesn't eally bother me. I've been ordering this for a few months now and will continue to do. I highly recommend. My dog just turned 14 and absolutely loves it. The price is very reasonable as well. You can even cut it into straps to further stretch the quantity.

This is the second time that I have bought this for my very, very picky dog. She really loves them. When I open the pantry to get her a treat she comes running. She knows which treat I am picking up and her tail goes a mile a minute. I am glad she likes something that is good for her.
