PLUS MINUS ZERO Toaster 1-Slice White XKT-V030(W)

This little toaster runs fine on 100VAC. If you can supply the correct voltage it's a charming little toaster. But as others have noted it does not work for long on standard USA / Canada 120 volts AC. The manufacturer would have the single slice cute toaster market here sewn up if they made a model of this for 120 volts AC. They do not. So don't buy this if you can't supply the correct voltage. Give it 100 volts AC and you're good to go. We use our Plus Minus Zero single slice toaster several times a day. Once set for the desired darkness it is very consistent and does not burn toast. UPDATE: Still going strong after 4 years on 100 volts AC here in the USA.

There is six heat settings on the dial but setting two will set off your smoke alarm. Setting 1 doesnt even heat the toast. The first slice you put in will burn even if on setting 1, i think because of its size and because its cold. Its a great size but you better off throwing a slice on a pan. This thing is completely useless. Dont waste your time or money.

Just the right size for our Scamp Trailer! It is made in a solid, excellent way.

Be warned… This toaster outputs 500W at 100V in Japan. At 120V, this toaster outputs 720W, i.e. 44% hotter than in Japan. It can’t really be used above a darkness setting of 1 and it will also burn out prematurely if you use it in the US as is. You might get 1 or 2 years use out of it before the heating element burns out. However, if you are so inclined, this toaster can be modified by adding 3 ohms/75 watts of resistance to the power lead. I actually did this by adding a combination of 2 resistors, 2 ohm/50 watts plus 1 ohm/25 watts in series to the power lead. This resistor combination fits perfectly within the toaster housing (a single 3 ohm/75 watt resistor is too large to fit within the toaster housing). With this modification, the toaster heating elements now operates at 500W at 115V (ave US voltage). You’ll also get full use of darkness dial. I don’t recommend doing this modification unless you are a competent electrician. In any case, I really wanted a single slice toaster for my travel trailer, to save space and power when running the inverter. After some screwing around, I now have one that works. Further follow up... I do not recommend this modification. While it worked pretty well for several months, it appears that the heating element or some or some other component has malfunctioned. I gave up. This is not worth the hassle. I found a much better solution: a vintage single slice Toastmaster Model 1A6 on eBay. Over 50 years old and still works fantastically well. These are bullet proof, plus it's a much better match for my Airstream trailer... even sort of looks like it.

On zero, it burnt the piece of toast. The next try the raise lower switch broke. Came from Japan, took 30 days to arrive and it was broken after two uses! Don't buy this toaster. It was however, compact, but if it cheap and doesn't work, it doesn't help out in tight spaces!

This is an awesome little toaster, very well made and looks great!

Liked the size very compact, just need to learn how to adjust setting, burned toast first time I used it

It's exactly what I want! One slice or muffin half is all I use and it fits so well in a corner of my counter. I'm very pleased!

ポップアップトースターで色々探していましたが1人で使うので1枚で焼けるこちらのトースターを買う事に… 良かった事はキッチンまで行くのがマンドクサイので自分の部屋の本棚の狭いスペースに置けるコンパクトな大きさですね。 トーストの焼きに関しては目盛3できつね色な程よい焼き具合になり表裏で若干焼き加減が違いますがあまり気になりません。 食パンを自分の部屋でベッドで寝ながら焼いて焼きたてを食べれるのがサイコーです。

買ってから、10か月ぐらいでスイッチが入らなくなり、修理に出したら、無償で交換してくれた。しかしそれも一年ぐらいで同じ症状で使えなくなりました。 値段の割に高いので残念です。

1枚焼きだということと、コンパクトさでおまけして☆３つにしましたが・・・。 一度に2枚焼くことが少なく、2枚焼きタイプで1枚だけで焼くとどうしても片面ばかり焼けすぎるので、1枚焼きが都合よいです。 以前同タイプの物が壊れて、リピートです。いつも「３」の目盛りでちょうどよく焼けてたので、今度も「３」で焼きましたが、真っ黒に焦げました。6枚切りの薄いパンですから、ヒーターにぴったりくっついていたわけでもないです。 ということは、目盛りは4以上は必要ない、ということになります。 あと、この値段で蓋も付けてほしかったです。仕方なく、布で作ったカバーをしていますが。
