Mold
I too had mold on one of the last cloves in the container. My container has an expiration date of 2021. In general the taste and texture of this black garlic was okay. It is not the best black garlic I have ever had. I would not recommend buying from this company. I have eaten lots of black garlic and never have I ever found mold before.

Try something else
Well I'll start with the good points. There was no mold on the garlic. Also it's made in Canada. That was the only good point.First of all it was hard and felt overcooked. The taste was lite and bland. If this was the first time I tasted black garlic I would never buy it again. The sweetness is so lite I wonder if it's fresh.If this is your first time trying black garlic (after watching Bob's Burgers) then try another brand that is made in USA or Canada. Stay away from Chinese garlic.

Organic Black Garlic
Very satisfied with the organic black garlic and service.Delicious plump cloves of black garlic. Very high quality product. As a canadian move to buy canadian grown. Will buy again soon and highly recommend.
