I used the sizing chart they gave and my head BARELY fits inside the helmet. As you can see in the pictures I took, it’s also pretty large and the mushroom head look is definitely there. I’m not impressed.

I am Very Concerned!! I bought this HAWK helmet because it was advertised as a DOT approved safety helmet. When the box from Daytona Helmets arrived, it came with this printed on the outside: "WARNING This collectors item does not meet Department of Transportation specifications. It is not to be used on any motorized vehicles. It is not designed to be a safety helmet and does not protect your head on impact." WTF?? Is thisa DOT approved, safety helmet as advertised or a "Collectors item" toy which provides NO protection? . . . Is this legal disclaimer true? Amazon should investigate this! On the positive side, the helmet fits fine, but the chin strap is uncomfortable. I thought it would be a snap on-off.I will use this helmet as a bicycle helmet, so I'll probably keep it. I would NOT have ordered it if I knew before of the WARNING and chin Strap. Customers should wear a helmet with confidence that it will protect their head, not worry if it is safe.

Sizing is complete misleading and bogus. XL size doesn't fit me not even remotely. Literally would have to be twice bigger to fit me. So my gf size small tries it, and it is too snall for her. Ridiculous. Finally not true dot. Bssed on all of this, this item should be removed up until this is resolved.

Ordered a size XL which is what I wear in every other helmet on planet earth yet this one here literally fit like a small! My wife normally wears a medium and it was even to small for her head!

It didn’t fit, I sent it back and the charged 25.00 I would not recommend this helmet or vendor

I thought this would be the slimline helmet, but it's actually just as bulky as my Shoei half helmet -- while also being much heavier. Also, the sizing is off. I wear a Small in Shoei, and the Large here was too tight.

Love this new helmet the shape is modern without being bulbous. Although all half helmets have a tendency toward “Mushroom” head this one has an elongated polo shape reducing the mushroom effect somewhat. The Medium fits nice seems snug but not overly so. Very happy with this purchase the price, look, and quality are beyond my expectations. I wish they made it in a flat steel grey I would but it again!👍👍👍

I was going to purchase a novelty polo style helmet until I found out the ticket here is $350 for riding with out an approved DOT rated helmet. I am very happy with how this helmet fits and looks. While it does not fit like a novelty style would because of the inner shell, it does NOT give you major mushroom head like other DOT rated helmets of this style. I used the fitment guide and ordered a XL. The fit is perfect and is actually fairly comfortable.
