Lifesaver!
This little timer has been such an enormous help for teaching our 5 year old about time. He is SO SLOW at eating, that we go this to train him to eat faster in time for his 20 minute lunches at kindergarten. While I won't claim he is now a speed demon, he definitely knows what it means when we say he has 20 minutes to go! We also use it for keeping track of how long he is allowed to play minecraft! This is super easy to use and has great visibility. You can sometimes hear some very quiet ticking, but it is very hard to hear (and I'm super sensitive to noises like that). We have it with us during every breakfast and it has never been bothersome. Volume is nice too. Not at all obnoxious if using it at the table. This was a great buy. Zero complaints.

Great visual aid in a special education classroom!
I use this timer to help one of my students who is on an individualized behavior plan monitor how long she has left before the next phase of her plan. It's very easy to set the time, and when the alarm goes off, it's loud enough that I can hear it across the room so I don't forget to implement the next phase of the plan, but it's short enough that it's not too intrusive in the middle of class. The wide base prevents the timer from falling over. The timer is a good size, too: big enough that you can see the display from a good distance, but small enough that it doesn't take up too much room on the desk. I only wish that the colored "time left" display were on the left side to mirror how time progresses on an analog clock, but that's ok! I would definitely recommend this for helping kids keep track of how much time is left.

Good clock for kids but the sound is annoying
Simple to use, good visual cue for our toddler when we're getting close to bed time or watching videos. Only complaint is that the sound itself is an old-school alarm clock beep which is very grating: in the age of smart phone alarms, this sound seems out of date and unnecessarily "alarming".

Great for kids
We use this to time TV watching, video games, music practice and more. Kids use this all the time. The best part is the alarm is not too long and turn off by itself. Get green, it is less obtrusive and more friendly then red, which is like a stop light. Remember to turn the dial to 1 hour before setting it to your desired time. That ensures the alarm will work correctly. We had a magnetic timer before this, but here is a warning. If you move this often, you will drop it. Our last one worked until the tenth time it was dropped. This one is a table top or desk top model and we don't move it to strange places like the refrigerator door. Think how many time that door is opened and slammed, the timer was going to break eventually. This one doesn't tempt you to do dumb things. Now the kids are timing me with it. When it rings, I have to stop playing computer chess. Fair is fair.

Perfect for remote learning
My 15-year old son is on the autism spectrum. He's high-functioning but struggles with the concept of time. His school is all remote right now and he was taking forever to complete his assignments. I bought this for him so he could visually see how much time he should spend on each subject. It's a great little timer. Completely silent except for a few short high beeps when time is up. It's very easy to use and he uses it all the time. Very happy with this purchase. I bought the green one.

UPDATE: Broke after one month.
UPDATE: This timer broke after a month of daily use. Still not working after replacing the batteries with brand new ones. The use was not extreme - only about six 15 minute segments a day. Returning for a refund. ORIGINAL REVIEW Nice little pomodoro timer. Been using it about a month for time tracking (I have adult ADHD). Here's a video of what the alarm sounds like - I have it on the shortest alarm with softest volume. As another reviewer suggested, I got the green because it was "friendlier" than the red, and I like it a lot. You can hear some soft ticking if you keep it nearby, but it's easily drowned out with a fan, or by moving it a little farther away. To be totally honest, it's a bit cheap looking for almost $20, but I've been more productive than before, so I'm glad I got it.

Timer you can see across the room
Very very helpful providing schedule and transition planning with preschoolers. They don’t need to read the numbers to clearly see, at a distance, how much time is left for the activity. For instance, when it’s time to get ready for school, they get five minutes to get dressed. If they are dressed in time, then they get fifteen more minutes of play time. Etc. they can look and don’t require someone to tell them how much time is left. The timer acts as a neutral arbiter, it’s the timer that said time was up, it’s not mommy or daddy.

We live and die (productivitily speaking)
Update - takes a spilling and keeps on ticking. I spilled soda pop on the front of the timer and it leaked inside through the frame. For the most part, it still works. It gets stuck because fizzy drinks are sticky, but up until about the 30 minute mark it still keeps time almost perfectly! Yes, I know productivitily isn't a real word, but we lost this timer and couldn't find it for about a week and I was about 1 day away from buying another one. I have ADHD and I'm schooling my sister who has ADHD, and neither of us has any kind of internal sense of the passage of time. Our productivity really does live and die by this timer.

This visual timer works a treat. It comes with batteries, it ticks down the time, the ringer is adequately loud enough but shrill for sensitive ears. I don’t know why I didn’t clue in to how small this was; I was so surprised by how tiny it is. Fits in the palm of my hand. I wanted it for the visual kids in my class but it’s a tad too small to be seen at a distance. However, this is great for a personal desk or what have you. To sum up: tad small and likely too shrill for sensitive ears, otherwise it works a treat!

When I initially bought it I used it a lot and the timer worked well. Then it was sitting in the closet for a few months. When I tried using it recently it doesn't work anymore. The timer doesn't count down and the alarm constantly rings. Only way to get it to stop ringing is to remove the batteries. Tried fiddling with the settings and nothing seems to work.

My child dropped it twice and it stopped turning. The timer part went all the way behind the face of the minutes and so it is useless now. We took it apart to try and fix it but it doesn't work the same. Customer service contacted me directly and offered to replace the product which I am very grateful for!

Love this! My son likes that he can see how time remaining instead of guessing when I tell him 5 minutes left till we move on etc. I use it in the morning as well when I wake him up as it has an alarm. I go in his room start to wake him and give him 5 min on the clock. When it goes off he gets up.
