Cooler Whiteout Package

I bought the Icybreeze to use in the the airplane I fly that does not have air conditioning, (as most small single engine aircraft don't). I like the fact that it does not require external power to operate, and the rechargeable battery lasted as long as advertised on a recent flight. It was an 85 degree day, and it did make the cabin more comfortable but not as good as real air-conditioning, (although much better than not having anything). I wish they had a smaller unit as it took up most of the back seat, and was too big to sit on the floor of the backseat of my airplane, (Cirrus SR22). I really like that the unit came with an external power supply, battery charger, 12 volt adapter, remote control, and extra flexible hose to extend the reach of the cool air so nothing else to buy for whatever environment you could/would use the Icybreeze.There are some other products more suited to aviation, but none as complete as this unit. I would recommend as an inexpensive alternative to installing air-conditioning in an airplane, or great if you rent airplanes and don't want to sweat to death before taking off.

It works okay, but neither blows as hard as I would have expected nor as cold as I expected. I bought it for a small aircraft (Piper Cherokee 140) and it it barely cools the cabin down at all, even when I left it on low for 1/2 hour with the cabin closed prior to flight. Grant you I'm in Texas, but I expected better performance than this for $425. The hose (including the extended hose) is somewhat too flexible so it doesn't stay put where you want it. Battery life is as advertised from what I can tell.

Bought this to cool my vehicle because the a/c is broken. Absolutely will not cool the whole vehicle, but passing the very long hose that was provided from person to person in the car allows people to each have cool relief. Definitely gonna take it camping for July!
