Great for the office or the worksite.
I've just ordered my 4th pair of these in 5 years. I'm a technical instructor for a mining and construction equipment company and I'm on my feet 8 hours a day minimum. I keep my new pair for the office and classroom and retire the old pair to use for the training workshop and out in the field. The composite toe makes a big difference in how cold my feet would get in the field during the winter and the boot is lighter compared to steel toes. They look sharp and professional in an office and provide durability in the field. I never thought I would be a fan of a slip on boot over a lace up but the fit is snug and supportive, far moreso than I expected. I can't speak to the waterproofing complaints that others have shared here but I generally wear muck boots if I'm in terribly wet conditions. My biggest adjustment to these was finding good socks that stay up past the calves to avoid the top of the boot rubbing against the skin on my legs. I'm a huge fan of these and will continue to buy this particular boot as long as this style isn't discontinued.

Good
I live in Hawaii and getting boots you want on our island is sometimes a pain and prices are usually raised for the sellers “shipping” costs.I’ve ordered direct from Ariat before and they use the slowest and cheapest shipping available where it took 1.5 months to get the boots and Ariat will not reach back out to you for just as long via email and they make it very difficult to try to call. This company I ordered from on Amazon got the boots here faster than Ariat could. The boots themselves were true to fit, as long as you follow Ariats sizing guide. Ranch work, riding horses, walking, running, crouching, trimming horse feet and these boots are comfortable doing everything I need. Break in took a week and they are waterproof.

Best boots on the market!
These boots are the real MVPs.I’m an industrial electrician, which means I basically live in a soup of cement, water, and mystery oils that probably void warranties. These boots? They’ve been through it all and they’re still standing tall.Waterproof? Absolutely. Florida throws summer tantrums like it’s auditioning for a disaster movie, and these boots just shrug it off. I’ve trudged through puddles big enough to name, and my feet stayed drier than my sense of humor after a 12-hour shift.Insulated? Yep! just enough to make me feel like I’m probably not going to get zapped today. And so far, so good.BUT fair warning: they do need a break-in period. These boots start off a little stiff, like your back after lifting conduit all day. So do yourself a favor: make sure your old boots aren’t completely falling apart. You’ll want to tag them in when your feet start yelling during week one.If you want boots that can survive the job and make it out with their dignity intact (unlike you on a Monday) these are the ones.

Narrow
Length was right on but i ordered a wide and it was still way too narrow. Seems to be good quality so far.

Super awesome boots!
I got these boots for my husband, he’s a pipefitter and abuses the crap out of boots. We were replacing his Justin brand boots, he had to put his redwing inserts in his Justin boots because they weren’t that comfy. I’ve always worn Ariat Fat Baby boots so I suggested he get some Ariat boots. He absolutely loves them! He says they are extremely comfy and don’t make his feet hurt at all. He says there was barely a breaking in period (which is the same for me with Fat Babys) and he doesn’t feel the need to have extra inserts with them. He even wears them when we go out! Which is saying something because he wears skate shoes like DVS. Anyways these boots are amazing!

Comfortable and waterproof
I really like these boots there are very comfortable and work good. They are definitely waterproof! Although about a week after getting them I was riding home on my bike in the rain and when I got home I took my boots off and my socks were damp. So I thought it was because going at highway speeds with the rain that the boots were leaking. So I got a hold of Amazon and they sent me a replacement pair within two days. I tried those and come to find out they don't leak my feet were sweating and it was getting my socks wet. So they don't breathe well as far as that goes but they are definitely waterproof. They work great on my motorcycle and they're comfortable at work. Definitely worth the money and I'm sure they'll last a long time.

Do Not Purchase ! Sole will split with minimal use !
Update !! After just a few months of minimal use , my son wanted to keep these boots as the new boots , he kept them in the closet after I got them for Christmas. He finally got them out to wear them in feb 2020 and the sole has split with just a few wears at work . He is a plumber , he says they are comfortable but he needs them to hold up to the Ariat name and workload ! They aren’t water proof if the sole splits with minimal use . Very dissatisfied with this purchase , won’t be buying boots on amazon again since the warranty is crap ! I will go to a store where I know they will honor their product !
