This is show with a bed skirt in the photos but I can't see how that would work. Will this bed work with a bedskirt?

That's a deceiving aspect of this photo. Bed skirts will not fit on this bed.

What is the weight limit it will support?

My daughters are 7 and 9 they weight about 65 pounds but I weigh 150 and I've slept on it

Is this bed able to be used without the canopy part?

Yes. The balls at the top of the poles hole the canopy bars in. Just screw them into the poles without the canopy bars. I just assembled it this way

What bedskirt fits with this bed?

It's low to the ground,yet we have ample room for storage, but any twin size bedskirt should fit!
