Parts Express Cable Pants 8mm 2-Conductor, Black (Pack of 10)

These fit perfectly over Amazon Basics 14ga sheathed wire. Made some shorter cables, and will be ordering some more to make some much longer ones for surrounds. Considering the quality of these pants, and the almost zero markings on the AB speaker wire, these are probably one of the easiest combos for making your own cables.

I had bought the 10 mm cable pants before but thought they fit too loose on my 12 ga wire to look professional. I bought the 8 mm size when I added another set of home theater speakers because the advertisement said it would fit 12 ga wire. It didn't.

Great set of pants. They were very tight which made installing a struggle but this also makes them an extremely good fit once completed. I stripped about 3 inches of cable to make installing easier. This way you can grab onto the bare wire with pliers and pull until you get insulated wire through.

I could not get these things on 14 ga. speaker wire for the life of me. Until I put them in a small kettle of water and brought it up to almost a boil. BAM! They slid on fast then. Like 10 seconds fast. Pretty good compared to the previous day's wrestling match (I lost)

Bought these to give some speaker cables I was making a professional look. Unfortunately they were a little small so I bought some larger ones.

These worked great on heavy duty audio cable for a finished look. Mostly I wanted to shore up the possible break point where the leads leave the insulation. This is not heat shrink afaik although I didn’t try that. If you need super snug, then look for heat shrink instead, as they will move a bit when you are pushing wire into the terminals.

These work perfectly well and really neaten up cable ends. I don’t understand reviews complaining about them not fitting. They measure exactly as the manufacturer states. If they don’t fit, you simply didn’t pay attention and bought the wrong size.
