Tumia LACCotton Summer Ethically Traded Trousers, Elasticated Waist, Pockets, from Ecuador by Tumia

The product is pictured as having four pockets - two side and two buttoned ones on each leg. The four pockets were integral to my decision to purchase these. These did not fit that description as they only had two normal side pockets. The extra buttoned pockets were expected and I have recently bought similar. I’m disappointed. We should receive exactly the item pictured! Surely this also violates Trade Description laws?

I'm 6ft tall and carry a bit of weight around my waist so I ordered the XXL size. I also wanted them to be quite airy and baggy, which they are.They are a little long in the leg but I just turned them up at the bottom.Couple of points potential buyers should be aware of:These trousers are very thin. Underwear will show through so white boxers are probably a good idea as darker pants will look odd. (And any bloke tempted to go 'commando' risks getting arrested).The pockets on the side are so small they are unusable... I can barely get my hand into them. Also, anything you put in the pockets, or side pockets, (mobile phone, money, etc) will just make the trousers sag.Lastly, the waist drawstring isn't knotted at each end.... knot them before putting on the trousers or the drawstring will disappear into the waist (as they did the first time I put them on).Apart from that they're very light and comfortable.

This is my fourth pair as I was extremely happy with the previous ones I bought. As they wear out (which is fairy fast, because they're lightweight and worn a lot), I just order new ones. This time - even though I buy XXL - they were far smaller in every dimension and about 10cm too short in the leg. I double-checked the label and it definitely says XXL yet these are nothing like the size of the last pair I bought. In fact, they don't even have the knee pockets (as per the photo). I'm not sure what's going on here but the product has very much changed for the worse and I'm really disappointed. I've given them to my son but this change means I'll have to find an alternative for me.

These have the potential to be 5* trousers. They are probably the most comfortable trousers I have purchased. They feel super soft and the fit is really nice - it's rare to get some good loose trousers these days. And the price is good also.But the stitching has started to come off after a few weeks, and no matter how comfortable the trousers, if the stitching goes they become fairly useless quite quickly. I bought two trousers, black and navy blue, and the stitching is a common theme on both. The front pocket stitching in particular seems to come of fairly quickly.If they increased the quality of the stitching and increased the price to cover the additional expenses, I would happily buy again and give 5*s.

v thin material split straight away

Having a 37" inseam, I expected the legs to be a bit short.They were. But, not in a bad way.The pair that I received hang around 2-3" above the ankle, which in my opinion are perfect for the beach, lounging around, etc.The material is 'airy' yet not 'see through'.Not sure if you need to wear white pants under though.Would recommend these for people who just like to chill around the house after a hot sticky day, or like a nice relaxing lay-about while on holiday.

I take part in yoga,and love the feel of using these,their also ideal for sleeping in,lounging around the house in,going to the park,and allowing the cool breeze to circulate around your skin.I had bought a similar one several years ago,so decide to get a few more,without any regrets

These were bought for my husband. He is very pleased with them overall, as he wanted very thin cotton trousers. The dark blue colour is fine, but he finds the turquoise a shade bright for England! He wasn't keen on the ties round the ankle so has removed them, or the buttons on the pockets. We checked the reviews first so bought a size larger than he would normally take and they fit perfectly.
