It transforms some of the harshest pullers out there!! I have a 50 lb, Airedale/Shepard cross puppy. Heijes to pull and I have neck issues. Neck issues and a large breed dog that pulls on walks is not condusive to anything slightly enjoyable for either of us. I had bought one of these for my pitbull and unfortunately had completely forgotten about it when I got my current dog. After trying a "Jugbow" electric color, a pinch color, a no pull harness, and one other training collar that I can't remember the name of, I was at a loss as to finish training my pooch not to jump or pull. Then I saw a neighbor with one of these on their dog and I remembered!!!! So, I bought one and had it delivered by the time for our afternoon walk. It transformed my pulling dog into a gentle walking companion!!!!! This is by far the best one on the market. It doesn't hurt the dog in any manner and they respond quickly to it. I highly recommend buying one immediately and tosdi g the other ones in the garbage!! That's what I did!! My dog and I are both very happy when going in our walks!!!! No more fighting him and hurrying myself in the process!;

Fits my dog perfectly. She's still getting used to it, but I think just time will fix that. It's made our walks so much better as a puppy. She's kind of bonkers. This actually allows me to walk her.

When I got the Gentle Leader, first thing I noted was how small and fragile looking the plastic clasps and buckles looked. This is going on my Golden Retriever who already pulls like a tractor. If one of those plastic clasps broke, he would be loose. I researched what other users on the internet said about this and I found it was recommended to use a back-up attachment to the regular collar, down further on the neck as usual , and put the GL up higher on the neck as they suggest. The end of the GL webbing that goes around the back of the dogs neck has a sew-in loop. I used an " S " hook/clasp and attached this to my dogs regular collar. Now if the clasp on the GL should fail, it is still attached to the regular collar, and my dog won't be able to run off, loose.

Be patient with your self and your dog. Once you figure out how it goes on and your dog gets used to how it feels, you'll both be happy.

This is not my first time using a gentle leader on my lab...his other one wore out. This leader worked well for a few months but then the clasp below the mouth area started sliding down even with it fully closed. Ok, that was something I checked each walk. Now the WORSE is the clasp that closes to take it on and off my dogs neck. It's nearly impossible to get it to open up without struggling & pulling on it while on our dog. My hubby can't get it unclasped either & quit using the leader completely. My dog has fear aggression when male dogs start barking at him (bad dog park experience as a young dog). I'm not able to use another type of collar or harness because my dog is too strong for me to control on his once in awhile fear aggression --- lunging & pulling, with me being pulled off balance. I do not recommend this product for the poor quality clasps when defeat the purpose of having a system to walk ones dog.

This worked perfectly for our male golden doodle, about 65lbs. It took a bit of effort to figure out how to put it on, but I watched a few videos and eventually got it. Do get your dog warmed up to it first before taking on a walk, put it on in the house and practice with it as it will take the dog a bit to get used to it. At first they might not want to walk much but once they get used to it, you'll no longer have to deal with pulling on the leash for the most part.

Absolument génial!! Après avoir tout essayé jak envie trouvé le système qui me permet de promener mes chiens et non l'inverse!! (Jusqu’ici c'était mes chiens qui me promenaient). Lun 2 système est habitué tres vite, l'autre a un peu plus de mal et secoue la tête de temps en temps. Le "licole" n'est pas serré, ne l'empêche pas de haleter voire d’aboyer donc ça n'est pas douloureux pour lui. Ca l'empêche simplement de tirer comme un dingue.

Habíamos probado tres collares distintos, y no acertábamos. A mí me habían salido durezas en las manos. Creo que depende de cada perro el resultado que podemos obtener con este bozal. Las ventajas en nuestro caso (Podenco de año y medio 30 kg) ha sido espectacular. Se ha adaptado desde el primer día. Lo que más nos gusta, además de que es efectivo, es que el perro va tranquilo. Insisto en que es una valoración subjetiva, ya que creo que cualquier sistema antitirones depende su eficacia, en gran medida, de la adptación del perro. En nuestro caso, un éxito. Ya no tira y lo podemos llevar de la correa con dos dedos.
