I have to lay a towel over it since the bumps are rather sharp. Other than that I have created a routine with it. After son goes to bed I put on my Calm app and lay a blanket on the floor with the neck relaxer. I lay there on it rolling my neck or remain immobile resting my neck and just listen to the meditation. Very relaxing and soothing. I do this one to two times a week. Love it! Step it up a notch with some aroma therapy if you're having the sniffles.
