Great quality and sound at a sensible price.
This unit proves you don’t have to spend a fortune to get fabulous sound quality from a Bluetooth speaker. I’ve tried all the cheap and cheesy alternatives you get on sale in the supermarket, and are just underwhelming and terrible. This speaker stems the void between overpriced trendy gadgets and the aforementioned garbage. It just works, it sounds great, has plenty of volume and presence for in home use, and doesn’t take up loads of space. Battery life seems very good and the rubbery outer coating and solid form factor makes me confident that it will last.

An Excellent Portable Speaker
This certainly deserves 5 stars, even if the customer can make some improvements by using an Equalizer app to improve either the bass or treble, depending on what you're watching and what you want to get from this speaker. Still, I'll go into more detail on that in just a moment. The speaker itself does have some downsides so it's not all amazing rainbows for the product, but none of them can make this product a bad choice. The Bad notes: - It takes a long time to charge - The BASS button is overdriven - Slightly heavy and large to be classed as easily portable - The Bass by default is slightly underwhelming (But you can fix that) Now these are all genuine bad points to consider when buying this speaker, but all of these points are either pointless as there are ways around it, or not really that much of an issue. But let's move on to the good points. The Soundcore Motion+ speaker has excellent 30w of power, delivering enough sound for small to medium rooms without introducing clipping or artefacts. It is classed as IPX7 rated, which means you're more than safe to use it anywhere you want, as long as it doesn't remain underwater for a long period of time. The Bluetooth connection on this speaker is classed as 5.0, but in simple terms, this speaker will stay connected to your device as long as you remain in the same building as the speaker (excluding a block of flats). It also has a great battery life of up to 12 hours. I know others will say more, but as long as you charge it up after any heavy period of use, you're likely never going to use all 12's worth, and when you charge it, it will stop charging when you get it to 100%. To work around the bass issues, and improve the Treble simultaneously, I recommend downloading the equalizer app by Beat Blend Labs and selecting the Rock preset for great overall sound. You can tweak your profiles how you want depending on the content you're watching. ✪ Would Highly Recommend I hope you have found this review informative in helping you decide whether to buy this product. I also have more reviews on my profile if that interests you.

Nearly two years on… and still excellent
This little speaker has never let me down. Coming up to two years since purchased and not one issue in all that time. Today the speaker was on at just under half volume for 8 hours straight, still plenty of battery left at the end (again, this is after almost 2 years). Bluetooth connectivity is flawless, instant and easy. The controls on the top of the speaker are easy to press and fairly intuitive, meaning you can just reach over and adjust the volume or skip tracks without looking. Asides from a bit of rain I can’t comment on just how waterproof this speaker is, but a small amount of rain caused no issues. This has been used many times at get togethers with friends and family and has never failed to impress. The quality of the sound is fantastic, and it can get surprisingly loud. There is a bass boost button which noticeably improves bass, however where this speaker really shines is in its mids and highs (top tip - to improve the bass, position the speaker in the corner of a room, it makes a big difference). I have since upgraded to the ‘soundcore motion boom plus 2’ which has monstrous bass in comparison. It is also much larger and far more expensive. As far as value for money goes I believe that this speaker is unbeatable. It’s highly portable, small, sounds fantastic and (having been dropped multiple times over the years) appears to be indestructible. We have other ‘bigger’ brands of Bluetooth speaker in the house and to my ear the ‘motion +’ is easily the best of the bunch.

Good sounding speaker for smaller spaces
Decent little speaker this - especially at just over £50 when it's in the sale. Great sound and easy to use. Battery lasts pretty long. The app to connect to it and change the EQ is great. Very stable. Something I hadn't realised at first is that when the bass boost is switched on, its actually changes the EQ profile on the unit to be the bass boost profile - so it removes whatever custom profile you had set - in turn changing the treble/mid response. Not a massive deal because the unit is voiced pretty well for small spaces in my opinion. It's a speaker that works well in smaller spaces when you don't need it to bang hard - but it can be turned up for sure. I had the bigger one they do (boom something?) with the handle and loved that too but it was too big for casual listening on holiday, so returned and got this. All in all I'm pleased it it - and the price point is bang on. I don't think there's many other speakers at this price that can compete.

Great sound quality
Amazing sound! Bought to be compatible with a record player and is so easy to connect and the sound is not affected. I believe it’s great value for money and is built to last. The battery life is great, have used for roughly an hour every day for the last few weeks and haven’t had to charge it yet. Feels substantial but not too heavy so is nice and portable.

Solid, well made and excellent value for money!
I read all the reviews first, many of which went into a lot of detail about this speaker. I found this very helpful when deciding what to buy. For far too many years I’ve made do with playing music and my ‘brown noise’ when the neighbours start their gardening etc. directly from my iPad. However, I knew it was time for a speaker and settled on this. I’ve also recently bought Soundcore headphones (over the ear) and have been really pleased with these so I was confident in the brand. This speaker does not disappoint. It was so easy to set up via the app and the sound quality is superb. So much so, as others have suggested, it is worth buying two. I will do that soon so I can try the stereo effect. I would highly recommend Anker Soundcore. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of their products and they represent fantastic value for money. I looked at Sony and Bose, JBL and a cheaper brand but kept returning to the Anker speakers. I’m very pleased with mine and I will be buying more items from Anker in the future. They are solid, high quality, well made items. Thank you.

Fabulous high quality sound, adjustable via a multi-band EQ app.
Overall, I'm happy and the sound is very good, so it's a keeper. The Good (+): + if you use the multi-band EQ app, you can achieve a sound that suits your tastes. Without adjustment, the default EQ isn't great. These speakers are usually either far too bassy, lose mid-range vocals, not bassy enough, or some other issue. This is not perfect, but can be tweaked via the app such that I am happy (for the price/size) + wide frequency response and a very clear, revealing, sound. It picks out detail in music that other speakers (at this price) have not revealed. Very good. + it has a much lower level of background hiss / noise than others I've tried, so is good for quiet listening and quiet passages of music. This has been a big problem for me in the past (a Tribit MaxxSound+ I tried was bad in this respect). + not too big for what it does (but not a super-light device for taking out and about) + styling not too bad, could be more minimal for my tastes, but certainly better than some of the horrible designs and better than Anker's earlier stuff. And no silly lighting effects. + excellent battery life and the battery status can be seen on the app. However, see a 'negative' below about the app's battery level report and how it shuts down. + firmware can be updated, so has the potential for futher improvement/refinement. + can be paired with another identical model to make a wide stereo setup of 30W per channel. Have not tried this, but quite tempted in the future maybe. The not-so-good (-): - it fades sound in when a track is first played from silent, so you miss the first half-second or so of the song. This is really annoying and I have almost considered returning it because of it, but decided that I'll live with it. No other bluetooth speaker that I have owned has done this. It may be there to protect the speaker drivers against high-volume surges or something, but it's fundamentally a bad thing for the listener. I do hope that Anker can at least drastically reduce the fade-in time in a future firmware update (ideally remove it altogether). - the speaker does not warn when the battery is low (as all other speakers I've tried do, via a beep or something) and the music just stops with about 15-20% of battery power still showing in the app. - the rubbery finish of the top, back and bottom shows fingerprints very easily and looks unpleasant once these are showing. They can be wiped off with a bit of scrubbing, just not a good design aspect. - start-up and shut-down tones are nasty and naff. I wish they were just a simple beep. Just bad and goes against the aim of this speaker to be a high-end, high-quality speaker. - bit awkward to get the USB lead inserted for charging on the side as it is recessed quite a long way. Other: * it's not a lightweight speaker for people who are looking for something to carry out and about. Check the weight to see if it's right for you. No problems moving from room to room at home, though, it's small and portable.

ANKER SoundCore Motion+
This speaker has the highest resolution/range sound out there. Not only in speakers in general, but also out of any bigger and big audio system probably. Comes with an original ANKER'S USB-C to USB-A cable, aux cable, user manual, warranty card, happy/not happy card etc... Built quality is outstanding, out of the class really. Size is well depends for who, but to me it's not small, more leaning to big. Not huge at all. Has some weight to it too. Just good enough to be portable. Plenty button controls on top of the speaker like BASS, volume Up/Down, Soundcore's multifunctional button in the middle, bluetooth button close to the main on/off button. Sound is incredible of course. With an addition to that, there is also an official Soundcore application, free to download from Play Store. Which has an equalizer for more fine sound tuning. The speaker has the latest bluetooth 5.0 connection. And once paired with the smartphone, next time when the speaker is turned on, it will connect automatically when connections on phone and speaker are on. Which is great. Speed of charging the speaker depends. To get it fully charged for about 4 hrs, a 5V/2A output should be used. There are also great wall chargers which can output 5V2.4A, even 3 some new ones. Which should reduce the charge time for approx 1hr (more-less, relatively). Overall, regardless of price, ANKER SoundCore Motion+ is currently the best speaker available. Which is suitable for just about any situation. Fully submergeable under water. Also if two of those are paired in the TWS, sound is a real blast! With both the Motion+ and Motion Boom, ANKER did out classed and ate probably every famous speaker brand out there. Price is even very cheap. I'm not sure why, but well... Don't think twice, just get this speaker. Amazing.

Best audio for it's size! Exceptional battery life! It's a BRICK!
run this speaker on my Galaxy Tab S6 which has a vastly superior Bluetooth circuit to any smartphone I have yet encountered. It is consequently where my master music library is stored. Because there are so many drivers in the Motion+, I let this speaker break in a bit before writing a review. WHAT A SPEAKER! It's pretty much a mini stereo system and has amazingly deep and tight bass, (passive radiator characteristic). The detail and stereo imaging of this speaker are phenomenal! Things do dramatically improve, especially in the bass region over about a week of use. It takes a little time for the center passive radiator to settle in with a little free movement needing to be acquired by use. When it settles in however, the audio is stunning! Only one real complaint: Unlike the Anker Soundcore 2, my previous speaker, the Motion+ DOES NOT reconfigure for 24-bit audio and remains in 16-bit audio even when playing a 24-bit FLAC file. This surprised me as most devices I had previous to this could play in true 24-bit audio. Perhaps a firmware update might resolve this? The battery pack is MASSIVE, 6700 MaH and does indeed play all day long. What is impressive about the Motion+ is how good the audio is, even at very low volumes. There's great bass, and detail, even down low. The steps provided also allow pretty precise control of exact volume in the lower volume areas. Lastly, be advised this Motion+ is a BRICK! It's HEAVY! Because it is however, it sits stable on surfaces lighter speakers just can't. Because it is so heavy, at high volumes you do not get "speaker creep" and no vibrations or rattling. If you want exceptional performance in a small package or are a serious audiophile, the Motion+ is the speaker to have. I have never heard audio performance in a package like this, except maybe on a Bose unit I heard in the past, but this equals or surpasses that even. If you're serious about audio and appreciate high quality reproduction, this is the speaker to have! I HIGHLY recommend this!
