Seiko Men's 5 Automatic Watch SNZG15K1

I simplified my watch by going from a battery operated chronograph with functions that I did not use to a day/date automatic self-winding watch. This is a terrific watch. It looks good and wears good. The watch is "military or LEO style" with a 24 hour clock face. The graduated markings around the face of the watch and all hands are luminous. The watch is just what I hoped it would be. It met all of my expectations. The company shipped the watch right away, USPS 2nd day priority mail, and there was no charge for shipping. Note that the self-winding watch is meant to be worn at least 8-hours per day. If not worn for about two days, the watch will come to a complete stop. This is not really a problem... just move the watch back and forth for a few seconds and then reset the time. When your watch is ready for its next battery change, mine will still be running. That was always part of the plan.

I purchased it on 9-2 and had it by 9-18. Amazon said it would be delivered between 9-28 and 10-12, I suppose to cover any issues like customs, etc. I really like the overall style. Easy to read face and good lume at night. I also like the display back and sweeping hand motion that comes from automatic watches. I haven't checked its accuracy yet, but it seems to be keeping good time and I am good with a few seconds either way - it is easy to readjust. Not to repeat the specs, but also has 100M water resistance and day/date display. Nice watch!!

A beautiful, well-made watch. A deal for the price. I have a smaller wrist, so I was worried this would be too big, but it looks perfect. The nylon watchband is comfortable and fits well, but I replaced it with Sharks leather band for a more 'around the town' look. This will be my everyday watch A note about the delivery: I was told it would take between 4-6 weeks to arrive in the States, but it arrived ten days after I ordered it. A nice surprise.

This is a great watch. The strap is not great, it is hard and stiff but I am swapping it out anyway. It is a mechanical watch so it does not have quartz accuracy, just be aware of mechanical accuracy when purchasing. I am not crazy about the seller though. The watch came in a generic Seiko box and the manual did not fit inside the box and was plastic wrapped to the exterior of the box almost like the seller had it as a display item and just grabbed a box to stuff it in. The warranty card was stamped and dated but I am not sure Seiko will honor the warranty because of this. And it all came in a paper envelope bag so the shipping container sucked, considering I have had better packaging on much cheaper items than this almost $200 watch.

Unlike a number of other automatic watches I looked at, this one was one of the only watches that had a regular face where you could see all the numbers - even in military time if you look closely at the smaller numbers. The fact that it is water resistant to 100 meters is good since it can handle tougher conditions that way. It also keeps track of the day and day number, which is convenient. The watch hands and tick marks glow in the dark very well, and don't seem to require much light in order to be seen. It may not be as accurate as a quartz watch when it comes to keeping time, but it is still accurate. The watch has been going strong for about three years now, and it remains intact.

Good brand, good reputation and its JUNK. 7 months and it does not work. I am beyond angry. My TIMEX EXPEDITION is a better watch than this junk. The “automatic” part of shaking this thing to power it is a gimmick and I got suckered with a cheap price. Spend more money and get better quality and a better brand. Its my fault for being cheap. An ugly “G SHOCK” watch would be a safer bet than this thing. Buy once, cry once. Im going to try a Luminox next, I’ll let you know how it goes. If thats junk I’ll bite the bullet and try a Tag Heur. UPDATE I decided to beat it on the table out of frustration and anger. Now it works again. All you have to do is punish it to get it to work. Tough love. Dont trust this watch. Ill probably just wear it to mow the lawn now, if it continues to work.

This is a good looking watch. I think the advertised dimensions for width is based on the crystal, not the case, so it's a bit larger than anticipated. It's still a nice watch for the price and has worn very well since my purchase about 14 months ago. I've swapped out the band a few times with various nato bands of different colors which has been a fun and inexpensive way of changing how it looks. I've worn this watch at my job, doing house and yard work, and playing outdoors. It still looks like new and had never had any issues despite a couple of times dropping it or banging it in to various stationary objects. This is my first Seiko and I would not hesitate to recommend the brand and model of watch. One thing to note is that it loses a minute or two every week with daily use. Not a big deal to me, but worth mentioning. It's mechanical so having to adjust the time once a week doesn't surprise me. I've owned several similarly priced watches by Movado and Skagen. Neither brand has worn or functioned this well.

Bought this watch and unfortunately had to return it due to its smaller case size(I have a 7" wrist, didn't expect it to look tiny on mine). And for someone with smaller wrist, this one's pretty perfect. Was quite accurate in my short test, the strap is literally a joke. Swap with a Thicker one to add a character to your watch. Quality product and worth the money, at least for the mechanism! P.S I bought SNE 399 Solar instead.

So far I haven't had a single problem. The second hand fired up the instant I moved the watch, and it has kept relatively accurate time since, with the power reserve keeping the watch working during the night when it's off of my wrist. It is not hackable, but is still quite accurate and highly readable even to my aging eyes. The lume doesn't last long, unfortunately, but it works very well if you charge it in the Sun first. Definitely won't glow all night long. For my first mechanical watch, I am quite happy with it.

Le doy las 5 estrellas tanto por el precio, como por la calidad del reloj, dejando de lado la estetica que es una cosa que puede gustar o no, se trata de un reloj mecánico por poco más de 100 euros que funciona a la perfección; a dia de hoy (5 semanas de uso) apenas ha adelantado 40 segundos. Por ponerle un pero, la caja del reloj tiene una acabado mate muy bonito pero tiene pinta de que se le vayan a notar más los "rayajos" del día a día

Easy to read and Sturdy look, precisely time keeping. An adult looking watch.
