Disney's Maleficent Film Collection Doll 12"

Buying collectible dolls/action figures online which are based on a real person is often quite a risk. If the picture shows only the figure by itself (not in the box), and it looks too good, there's a very good chance it's just a photo of a prototype. Since this one was shown inside the box, I could see how accurate it was.I have always been a sucker for collectibles, be they figures, rare CDs & games...you name it. I must say that I have never had a figure that looks exactly like the model, until now. Angelina Jolie herself is so beautiful, and this more than does her justice! Every detail is perfect. Her raised cheekbones are molded that way; they're not simply coloring trying to give a false 3D effect. Her skin is just as white as in the film, and her eyebrows slant downwards, giving her a more devious/cruel look than any of the other models. The jewel on her coat is faceted & looks great. The dress is very nice quality, and billows just enough. It also comes with her staff, which none of the other models do!The box looks great & is very detailed; built in layers, which give it a deep look and is also clear on the sides to increase the displayed amount. But there is a problem with it - the plastic is WAY too thin!! If you buy it online, it's almost guaranteed to be scratched & dented/crushed, regardless of how gently it's packed. And I don't mean just from Amazon, but even getting it from the online Disney Store doesn't help matters (from reviews I read there). Whoever designed it obviously didn't put much care into it. If you're not concerned with the box, then it doesn't matter. But if you like to display things in their original packaging, I highly recommend you go directly to a Disney Store in the mall and pick it up off the shelf yourself.Maleficent is perfect, and gets a perfect score. The box design is excellent (when it's not damaged), so it definitely gets the same!!

An absolutely beautiful doll....though others have bought cheaper dolls which they extol as looking more like Angelina, my interest was not in a replica of the movie star; moreover, I sought a well-made, beautifully gowned Maleficent WITH THE WALKING STICK, and, this was it! Attractive placement in a case suggestive of her "home" was a surprise bonus! So much so, my adult daughter has decided to display her within the case/packaging.

She is such a beautiful doll - a great reminder of the amazing acting by Angelia in bringing my favorite Disney character to life.

I love my doll, and it upset my friends that are Jolie haters.. which makes me love it more.. because my friends can be really stupid.

The doll was supposed to come Friday and arrived Saturday. The box was crushed and crinkled. I took the doll out the box anyway. And there are four seperate black marks on the dolls face. Very disappointed especially due to the fact that it is cheaper from certain other places and in mucb better condition. Total disappointment.

Very pleased with the doll. Great resemblance to Angeline Jolie. Nice costume. I would recommend this doll to my friends.

The box was destroyed and not worthy of a collector. It won't even stand on its own.

I ordered this for my 10 year old daughter for Christmas. The package arrived within 2 weeks so it is safely tucked away and the quality is top of the line! I am very pleased!
