SpringTools WWA1105 5-Piece Deluxe Woodworking Set

I use these all the time. I tend to do cabinetry installs and trim work more than other forms of carpentry. People are always borrowing these from me once they see what they can do to improve productivity. Most of my crew carries a set of these in their various belts. Also I have gotten multiple flooring guys, painters and other carpenters to need to have them as well.The tool remove door hinge pins is great. The punch is great. The nails sets are all useful to have on hand at all times for many tasks both cabinetry, trim, and even siding.My only complaint is that the chisel seems to be a bit too soft. It dulls easily. Good to help chiseling our door hinges, pocket door slots, and other door related things when it is sharp, but dulls too quickly.

These tools are very handy and unique. I bought a set for myself and later a set for a friend. My friend's set worked well for a few years but eventually two of the tools failed. The springs broke. I attempted to contract Noxon, the manufacturer to order replacements. I called and left a few voicemails on their phone in Spokane without ever receiving a call back. I also sent them an email to their site at springtools.com with the same result. They advertise lifetime warranty on their packaging and website but i guess the only way that works is to show up at their facility in Spokane, WA. Cool tools but customer service seems to be non-existant.

I purchased these based on various needs. Anything purchased for any reason is quite subjective. Are these as fast as a hammer and other setting, punch or chisel devices? Probably not, but then again perhaps these will accommodate smaller space needs and limit the amount of tools required in a cramped or limited space. These have their niche indeed. I am glad I have them. They are a little hard on the fingers so wear gloves but they are helpful. I would rate them 4.5 stars but there is not that option so 4.5 rounded up is 5. There it is.

This is one of my "must have" tools for the shop and for the tool box. Setting brads, centering screws in hinges and drawer glides, paint prep of trim - it beats the heck out of a traditional hammer and set 90% of the time. I got my first spring set almost 20 years ago - a buddy just dropped one on my work table and said "here, try this". Well, thanks, Mark! Now I give these as gifts to serious craftsmen. Spring tools ROCK! Well done

These spring-operated punches work great for setting finishing nails and marking the center of to-be-drilled holes.but i dont know how long it will be last
