Crystal Clear Glass!!!
Glass lens!!! Perfect fit!!! It didn't appear or feel to be glass, but it is... took a razor blade to it and it didn't cut through. Took the same razor blade to be sure to the old headlight lens and it cut the old lens. These lens are awesome. I know for sure they won't yellow. Lens have hot spot indicators on low and high beam for easy aim. Sealed as well, as there is oozing of the sealant where the lens meet the housing. I just hope it doesn't get hit by a pebble!!! Definitely will recommend to GMC/Chevy OBS owners as a replacement for yellow headlight lens.

Amazing Headlamp Upgrade
I have always been disappointed with the stock headlamp performance on my 1996 Silverado. The plastic headlamps had weathered and become severely cloudy. I looked for a replacement with better lenses- preferably glass. I found these Spyder lamps and started doing research. Several enthusiast websites did in depth tests, and all were positive. I decided to pull the trigger and ordered a set. I paired them with Phillips XS bulbs and a pair of matching clear turn signals. Installation was a breeze- instead of removing the grill I simply separated the stock headlamp assemblies from the mounting plates as if I was changing bulbs. Then I unbolted the mounting plates and snuck them out through the parking lamp openings. Installation of the new headlamps was the reverse. Everything was plug-and-play and fitment was perfect. They look pretty sexy too! Testing the performance after dark was eye-opening! Headlamp performance was similar to what I had experienced with a 2008 Silverado! Beam spread, throw, and side fill is amazing! Best headlamp upgrade I have ever done. Buy a set! You won’t be disappointed. Lenses are glass, reflector assemblies appear to be some type of metal, and the glass is sealed to the reflectors with what appears to be some type of adhesive like butyl. Very well made. The mounting brackets are not as stiff as the stock parts, but I noticed no vibration of the lamps while driving. They come fully assembled and securely packaged/padded.

Easy to install
These are a pretty good choice in my opinion. They seem to be built good and look great. I only thing I didn't like was how the light bulb is held in. They doesn't twist and lock like the original. There are 3 screws that you have to tighten to hold them in place. It doesn't make sense why they designed it that way. I took the extra step and sealed around the bulb with some putty and caulk around where the lens is attached to the back. There's no water getting into these. These aren't plastic. And i left the original mounting bracket on. This way I didn't have to remove the grill. They were easy to align. I think they look great.

These Glass headlights for this truck are better than OEM options
I was searching for replacement headlights and came across these units. My factory OEM headlights were yellow and faded to the point seeing at night was nearly impossible. I searched for a Glass option and these Spyder product headlights were listed. I have a 96 K2500 Suburban and these were a perfect fit. They do not come with new bulbs but my existing bulbs transferred from the old into these without an issue. The lenses housings (2 - Left and right) are fitted with the proper bulb openings so getting the high beam and low beam bulbs in the wrong socket isn't possible. The housing fits like an OEM product and adjustments to the beam are the same as factory. My night vision was increased by 100% (Probably due to the condition of my existing lenses). Please note that the Front clear is the Glass portion of the product, the back housing is not glass but plastic like the OEM version. This was expected and seems to be sealed properly with gaskets and supporting clips like the OEM plastic version. I expect these to be the last headlight housings I have to buy for this truck. Recommending this product is easy. The hardest part of this swap was removing the grill (Which is still pretty easy). This is a 30 minute project start to finish and I recommend this to anyone who has this series truck. Now, if Spyder made the same glass product in running lights I would buy these too (Hint Hint).

Poor Quality: lights leak, fail and burn. You must silicone seal it yourself!!
These started out promising but ended up awful. First, they look good, big clear glass fronts designed to give a bright light. Problems start immediately: 1. They are not drop in replacements. The outer dimensions are too large and don't easily fit inside the grill openings, they are 1/8" longer than the OEM lights. You can make them fit, but it makes the final aiming difficult. 2. They leak!!!, First the driver side leaked, condensation formed and the bulb exploded inside the lamp. Then, after a brief rain, I came out to find the lense 1/2 full of water all the way accross. I contacted the seller figuring I may have damaged it or had a defective unit. I even offered to buy a new one because the inside was burt black. I only received an email telling me that I need to seal the light assembly myself with silicone. No instructions to do that!! Why would I buy a "sealed light assembly" if I had to seal it myself. So, $88 for lights, and $30 for new bulbs and almost an $80 ticket for a brned out headlight. Expensive!! 3. 2 days later the other side also leaked and blew the bulb while I drove through a gently shower. Another $14 and more silicone. This side is not even close to being "sealed" by the factory. Now, I have pulled them both, sealed them myself, and wrestled them back in place. I wish I still had my old, yellow, cloudy OEM lights back. These are awful!

Not the easiest to install but the real glass is great, clear, and will not yellow.
Used on 1990 GMC K 2500 pickup. Had to remove the grille and install the back mounts on the vehicle first, then one headlight first only to get the grill to go on. Then I slid the other front headlight portion into place and buttoned it up. Huge improvement in looks and I know it will drastically improve our visibility while driving at night. I upgraded with new bulbs that are brighter(not led).

Yeah - I know. Glass breaks. But at least it doesn’t fade and yellow. These are very nice and clean. I put in LED bulbs as well - very bright now.

Like the glass lenses,no plastic. Time will tell how they last.

11/10 for quality and projection of light. Even mid grade halogen bulbs are amazing! Every OBS Chevy needs these! Replaced the sealed beam setup on my 89 Chevy with these it's like driving a new truck!

Quality seems to be present, but bulbs not included despite description. I expect that Amazon should ship me a set of bulbs, but I can't wind my way through their pages. Update, 2½ months later, headlight condenses , water inside. Truck has been rained on couple times and perhaps driven 30 miles total in excellent weather. I'm very disappointed in this crap product. Standard OEM H3,4 bulb doesn't fit weird socket, no idea what bulb actually does fit?
