Red Rooster Louisiana Hot Sauce 12 oz

If only I could buy this locally. Over $8 a bottle is a ripoff. The only reason I bought it at this price was to remind myself of what it tasted like. I spent a lot of years in the military and this was available at most places I was stationed. I retired and moved back to Yankee territory and unfortunately, nobody carries Red Rooster and other Louisiana hot sauces. Sure, you can get Tabasco and Franks, but I like the inexpensive Louisiana hot sauces. People can argue over which is better, Trappey's, Crystal, Louisiana, Cajun Gold, Red Rooster etc., but I think Red Rooster has one of the more unique flavors. I just love the taste. Many will complain it's too thin but I don't care, tastes really good. It's great on pizza, pasta, eggs, just about anything you like vinegar with. If you like vinegar hot sauces it's one of the best.

This really is an amazing hot sauce. I put this on everything.

Consistent flavor and spice across my entire life. Red Rooster was my grams favorite and it's tied with Sriracha for me. (Which she probably would of liked it if caught on a bit sooner). It's not excessively spicy and carries flavor along for the ride with the heat. Typically, If you like Tapatia or Tobasco, give Red Rooster a shot and you might like them.

Just the right amount of heat, less than Sriracha, more than Frank's hot sauce. A knowable flavor enhancer.
