Certified Automation Professional Spiral-bound

The guide has some overall information about the certification process at the front (although I didn't find any mention of what ISA considers to be a passing grade.)The bulk of the guide is simply a sample exam covering the six "domains", but the answer key is very helpful in explaining why the other multiple choice answers were not the right ones. Sadly, there are mistakes in the answer key, so one needs to read with a critical mind (even wrong multiple choice letters shown for the right answer, so read carefully when grading yourself). Sadly, some reference material is horribly outdated and I would hope that ISA has updated the actual exam to be more relevant (eg. 1992 book referencing the difference between PLC's and DCS's.) Some of the questions are also too vague to be considered a fair test of one's automation knowledge.

Not the best quality, materials could be better

Quite a large volume of text to go through, especially given the content of the CISSP study guide within the book. This part could either make one feel fresh and fuzzy inside - if the material is still available somewhere in your memory, or it could make one feel happy about the certificate already in one's pocket - no need to go through all that theory again?

Good overview of what to expect in the test.Though questions are quite small in number they are indeed picked thoughtfully

The book is of tremendous help in preparing for the ISA CAP examination. I would recommend this book for all Automation Engineers.
