I first tried SKIL's masonry bits I bought at Lowe's, only to find out they drill about 1/8" of the way then no longer digs in. So, I returned the useless SKIL bits and tried these....a night & day difference. These bits bite into masonry tiles like designed to, and do so quickly. Note, however, that it does create minor crackings around the hole, so if you don't wish that to happen watch youtube or leave it for a professional. I used these to install a soilet paper holder, which covered the cracks so was not an issue.Although made in China, thsese are of good quality and effective, so I gave it 5 stars.

Once I started using this, there was no turning back. It cuts faster and because of the pointed tip, it doesn't glide away from your starting point.

They drilled through tile effortlessly.

Liked the variety of sizes, but don't go full depth the spring will get caught up.

I've used these a number of times now to drill out cement board for wall anchors or to pilot through drywall before drilling with a twist bit into a stud. The bits have gotten dirty of course but show no signs of wear. And they tear right through the mineral material of siding and walling... no sharpening needed... preserving my twist bits. The home handyman will appreciate them every bit as much as the pro. Very highly recommended for anyone who owns a drill. I am grateful to the men who conceived and built these bits.(Disclaimer or caveat, since the manufacturer makes the claim; I have not tried them on glass or other hard stone, I rather suspect diamond would be more suitable there anyway)

There are several issues with this product:1. The set was incomplete, one of the 7/64 drill bits was not in the set.2. 5/64 unit does not have the recess to fit the hinge, so correct centering will not be possible.3. 1/4 unit would not allow the drill bit to go through the housing, and when opened to fix I discovered rust in the threads of the housing.4. Many of the attachements have the set screw too long, exposing a large portion outside of the housing and possing an injury risk for the user.I did not check for any other problems, but will do so as soon as I possibly can, and if there is another serious problem I will update this review.I decided to not return as I still have a "complete" set of units and the cost will make it innefective for me to return due to the new return policy from Amazon, which will cost me even more.

Very nice product

I've suffered through many different masonry bits in my life; these are a breath of fresh air.I was dreading a project which involved drilling about a dozen holes through some flagstone material (about 1.5" thick). I procrastinated forever. Finally decided to get it done over Labor Day weekend, so I ordered this set of bits. Drilling through any masonry is never a fast proposition, but with patience, these bits worked perfectly. I was impressed.Be sure to keep water on them periodically (I used a spray bottle in one hand while I drilled) and be patient. My previous experiences usually involved getting one, maybe two holes done before the bit was burned up and ready for the trash... these bits endured very well and are ready for more action. Great product... I was pleasantly surprised.
