I bought this on a whim for my daughter's 9 birthday. She loves to draw. I wasn't going to give it to her at first because it seemed a bit advanced or mature?? The forms are faceless and naked (no features - just an outline) and super skinny. Against my motherly sensibility, I gave it to her anyway. That was in May. Since then, she draws in just about every day and has made some very cool and creative fashion sketches. She has a long bus ride each day, so this often goes with her. She sketches in it every night before bed, too. Sometimes we sketch together. It's so fun designing crazy outfits, hairdos, etc. You get many different figure poses, feet to design shoes, and heads for makeup or hair. It's a perfect portable size (about the size of diary I would say) and is hardbound for durability with a ribbon to hold your place. It has a glossary of terms with illustrations, too. She's almost filled this up and asked for it again! And for under $10, how can you go wrong?

Was hesitant on buying since I read a review saying half of the book is figures and half is feet/heads and the reviewer wanted mostly figure templates (which I wanted too, but). This is GREAT because it's a durable notebook and NOT A SKETCHPAD. The book is divided into 4 parts: 1. The glossary (about 3% of the book), 2. The figures (I would say about 85% of the book), 3. Feet (about 7% of the book) and lastly 4. Heads (about 5% of the book). The feet and head section I didn't really care about but then realized you could draw necklines, jewelry, hair styles, make up looks, shoes, nail art on the toes (really small though). I RECOMMEND for a kid or someone who wants a creative out lit. I suggest you use colored pencils or non bleeding pens. Pretty thick paper. I hope my pictures helped you get a better understanding on what is inside the notebook. I look forward to using it and I think it would be a great gift!

This book is really amazing! It’s perfect for beginners in fashion design as it provides a dictionary of terms as well as different styles of women’s tops, pants, shoes and hats! It also gives you pages that tell you what measurements you should take and an area to write in your own measurements! The mannequins are drawn very lightly so that you can easily draw over them and clearly see the outfit without focusing much on the model! I love this so much! This is a must have!!

My daughter loves this book!! The model images are drawn lightly on the page allowing the designer to create their fashions easily without the lines of the model interfering with the lines of the design. The only reason for 4 stars instead of five is because the pages are starting to fall out of the book. The binding isn't the greatest.

Worth every penny. I want my daughter to be able to embrace and express any creative thoughts she feels like sharing with the world. Idk if she’s putting me on, but her 10 year old art work looks like legit sketches from a fashion house or something. The models make it easy for her to focus on only the clothing, not having to worry about drawing a female figure

Tween loves this book. The first few pages are tutorials of clothing/hair etc and the rest of the pages have pre-sketched models. They are very light so you can trace them and add clothing and designs.

I'm very into historical clothing, reproductions, and historical costuming. I got this to use in sketching out designs I hope to make it simply designs I dream up that may never come to full fruition. The outlines are light so they won't show through your sketches but you can go over them with pencil or pen if need be. The paper isn't quite thick or strong enough to hold alcohol markers without bleed through and I suggest doing a test page with any wet media you plan to use. I decided colored pencils were the best bet for me. Good size and the elastic band keeps it closed so it's great to throw in a purse or backpack for on the go if you need to bring it along to class, work, or the theater.

My daughter loves designing and making clothing. She is planning to get a degree in fashion design and this book has been great for her to create her designs.

I would tell this book is worth buying for both adults and teens as the book is so good. It has a lot of templates and figures to sketch on. Recommend this for fashion designers or beginners.It comes with a holder at the back which is useful to keep pens and other supplies in it.

This. Is. Perfect! I've been able to finally get all my ideas and thoughts down into an actual sketch! My only complaint is if you use colouring pencils, despite how expensive they are, it does smudge off onto the other pages. So I've only got one coloured sketch in the book😂 The size is perfect, not too heavy or too light. I really enjoy drawing inside this book and pretty much take it everywhere with me, never know when inspiration will hit!
