I like this tool for cleaning piano strings

I recommend this little "eraser" type tool. Great way to easily/quickly clean up tired / older looking strings. Just be aware it may create a small amount of dust that you should vacuum up as you go... So far so good, with an older Yamaha Grand it works perfect for us.

Purchased to clean grand piano wires. Very labor intensive project.

This worked so well! I acquired a grand that had been in a fire and exposed to the elements for 20 years, had heavy rust buildup on the strings, this made them look like new!
