Exactly what I needed to build my outdoor pendant track lighting system.

Great unit - but no "guide"?
If you're an electrician this probably won't be challenging unit for you. You'll recognize the color coding of the metals and know what's what. But if you're not, there's nothing here to guide you. Not even a short description of how to best wire-wrap for the best connection. For that one star less - otherwise it's robust and straight forward.

Worked to power the track bar
For my purposes, replacing outdated track-lighting in a house built in 1965, this part was necessary to match with the track bar, so that it could be powered by the existing wiring. As such, it works well and looks good. The fact that this part could be wired by itself, and the bar plugged into it afterward, made the installation easier standing on a ladder, since I didn't have to hold up the weight of the entire track as I wired the power unit. I followed the instructions that came with the track unit, which showed a diagram of how to wire this unit.

Does what it is supposed to do, fits nicely. Room for attaching wires is not overly generous, but I made it work even with AWG 12 wire. Most people will use smaller wire, which will be easier.
