Very good low cost option to guard against vibrations & potential skips
Unit is basically 2-ply with a soft packing foam base with a harder, carpeted board on top if it. The model I got supports a heavy Technics SL1200 MK2 deck with no compression of layers being seen. Deck fits squarely on top of the isolation platform, no other setup is required. Sound quality did basically stay the same and I look at this as insurance against a random dog, kid, wife stomp, slam, drop incident. My player is in a corner of a low traffic area so there wasn't a large issue prior to purchasing. Player has been resting solidly on top of this isolation platform since purchase, no negative aspects, and no issues seen as a result of adding it to my setup. No skips noticed since being put in service - unknown if I would have had any issues without it. If it beeped like a UPS when a fault was detected I'd know for sure... Safe purchase that does bring piece of mind you have some vibration isolation protection in place.

The only 100% effective way I've found to isolate my turntable.
Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best. My turntable sits on an equipment rack and my speakers are very close to it. I am constrained by the size of the room and placement of furniture or I would move them farther apart. I have been an audio engineer/producer for over 45 years, so I have good tools and know how to use them. I have made every reasonable effort to make certain that my turntable is level, calibrated and properly set up. Yet, acoustic feedback has continued to be a problem which limits how loud I can play records. The floors are hardwood and when I walk across the room it rattles the speakers and can even make the record skip. I've tried different kinds of feet on the turntable, and attempted multiple strategies to isolate the cabinet from the floor. Some things helped, but nothing was 100% effective, until I got the Auralex Acoustics ISO Turntable Isolation Platform. This solved all my problems and was among the least expensive solutions I tried, as well as being the easiest to employ. It's brilliant in it's simplicity and it really works. I can crank up the bass, play records as loud as I can tolerate, run, dance, or do jumping jacks, and the turntable doesn't rumble, skip or make any unusual sounds. It is effective, unobtrusive and inexpensive. I really love being able to blast my vinyl records again. This puppy rocks, and so do I, to the Stones, Miles Davis, Vladimir Horowitz, and so many others. I am thrilled.

Fantastic!!
I give four stars only because I believe that five star ratings are for other worldly quality and results. That being said. It appears as though you get a well made, quality product that's not just a chunk wood or chunk of foam that someone prices through the roof. This platform is multi layered, good looking and assembled straight and well. My sound system positioning is less than "optimal" but we all have spaces to work with to the best of our abilities. Receiver and turntable are on the middle shelf an a set of HPM-100's on the base shelf. This worked well for quite a while. I just picked up a new Audio Technica LP3 which is much more sensitive that the previous entry level TT. Now I started getting lots of low frequency acoustic feedback at half volume which is usually my "jamming it level". Determined the issue and looked around, found this product and ordered one. Fantastic results. No feedback issues at a volume level loud enough that I really didn't even want it to be any louder. Is there something better out there? Maybe. Is there something that works as well cheaper? Maybe. Hence the four stars instead of five. For someone who just wants something that fixes the issue and doesn't mind paying a little bit without a ton of messing around experimenting, this is a wonderful product. Well Done!

Premium Quality @ Low Price
There are many more expensive turntable isolation products available to purchase, and I think this solution gives you the best bang for your buck. It is very think, has a quality construction and was packaged well. And most importantly, it does its job well. I have no complaints about this product. It is a premium product that functions well at a low price point. My advice is...stop looking for a turntable isolation solution now, save yourself time and just buy this. I think you will be pleased with what you get.

Reduced footsteps noise but not stylus bouncing
Looks good but it didn't resolve the bouncy tonearm problem. We have a lot of vibration transmission from the hardwood floor (AT-LP120USB on bookshelf on hardood floor, AT-440MLb cartridge at 1.4 g tracking force, range is 1.0 to 1.8 g). Issues before installing pad: (1) stylus bouncing when walking around TT and (2) low frequency noise from footsteps transmitted to speakers. #2 went away. #1 went away only like 50% or less. We need more isolation than this. Perhaps the solutions that cost triple what this one cost may be more effective, but that's just my hypothesis at this point. Aesthetically, it looks ok (I was concerned about the large purple logo, but it's practically invisible once installed).

Works
I couldn’t turn my volume over 45 without getting really bad reverb and the loudest I would like to listen to my music was 55 on my volume. Got this to see if it would help and now I can turn my volume all the way up to 100 with absolutely no reverb at all, way more than I wanted. Very happy with my purchase, bonus it works better than I wanted.

Did not work in my case to reduce acoustic feedback.
In my case, the product did not work to reduce acoustic feedback on my table. I understand the design, but in my particular setup the feedback was actually a little worse, so I am returning the item. It seemed to intensify the vibrations from the tabletop. I should mention the feedback occurs only at very high levels, so I am striving for perfection. In reality, I would never play music at those levels. But in any case, I achieved no benefit in a practical sense, so the item is simply too expensive to keep. I encourage others to try however, as it very possibly could help in a different situation and setup.
