Bought this for my 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD, the directions were easy to follow and everything was done in under 40 minutes. Woulda been even faster if it wasn’t 15 degrees Fahrenheit outside during the install. Two screws to remove the steering wheel lower cover. Then pop off the left foot kick panel by pulling out towards the foot pedals. Then there are three screws on the knee dash panel. That knee panel is held in with clips. Just pull that forward toward the driver seat and you are in. From there it is one wire harness to plug in on the steering column and a second wire harness to plug into the ecu. That’s it! Now it’s time to program it, programming takes less than a minute. Just hold a button down till it turns blue. Zip tie up the unit and put everything back together! That’s it! Now just press the lock button three times and the truck starts up. We live in Vermont so having this feature is key to our morning routine. Having a warm car with the ice melted off the window is so nice. I’d say people without any mechanical skills could do this. Reading over the directions a few times before install definitely helps. There are a few wires that are not used for the install, I used wire caps to cap off those, not sure if they could rub up against any bare metal and ground nothing out. Have had it installed a week now and so far no problems or any random battery drains.

Easy to install once I found the right video for my 2019 Tacoma on YouTube. I just used the Tacoma Beast install video , since the product is the same model; Fortin Evo-All. This video made installation MUCH easier than using the instructions. I may also get the Mobile app module later.

Easy install works well. Be sure to fallow program instructions or you will have to do a master reset and start over. Aside from my mistake, I'm satisfied with this purchase.

Installed the remote start on my 2017 Tacoma. Other reviews were accurate, it takes about 30 minutes and the instructions online (scan QR code) were helpful. The product would be better if the instructions online or included had vehicle specific installation pictures, rather than “in this area you should find a plug like this…”. It would also be helpful to know that on my vehicle, there are 4 screws that I need to remove to install this. There are also some loose wires in the wiring that was included that it is unclear what their function is. There are also some other connectors that plug into the included module, that are also not labeled. After getting everything connected (minus the loose wires), I had a red and a blue connector on the wiring harness that didn’t seem to go anywhere, so I plugged them into each other. The “programming” was easy, just follow the instructions and watch for the lights. I’m still getting used to the remote start-meaning if you push the lock button 3 times and it is too fast or too slow, the vehicle does not start. Also, the vehicle will turn off after running for 15 minutes (after the remote start), and when you get in the vehicle it turns off, then you restart (normally) before beginning your drive. Price is right and the product works for what it is. Glad I didn’t pay a shop to do it.

I didn't have any issues so no need to contact tech support, so that is why that is not rated. But it was a pretty quick installation and it works as intended and it is as if my car came with it from the factory where I could use my same fobs. ' When I was going to go to a dealership to get their version installed (thought it was OEM) but it would required to have a different FOB (fob that only is used for the remote start, still need my OEM fobs) and I didn't want to be carrying two different set of Fobs, so buying this was a no brainer and I basically saved over half the cost.

Got it all hooked up and it wouldn’t turn on. Called tech support and they told me nobody was available for 2 days. My truck was torn apart in the driveway so I couldn’t wait. Horrible customer service. Returned item

I watched a 10 minute youtube video of a guy installing this. Only took about 20-25 minutes to take apart the underside of the steering wheel, plug everything in, program and put it all back. The only downside to this is because of a safety feature when you open the door after remote starting the truck, it turns itself off. So its slightly annoying but I bought it to warm it up before work in the morning since its freezing temperatures here for 4 months, so it works for what I needed it for. I believe another company sells this product but without the safety shutoff feature which would feel more factory and less "did it myself after market"

Took me all of 20 minutes, watched an install video of something similar, no problems at all. Hardest part was getting the dash back together. Doesn't come with instructions and the website for MPC makes you enter your information in so you can get install instructions, not a fan of that but got it working without.
