Good reeds to use if u want a strength size down from Java reds
These reeds are the softest u can get from vandoren. They are a size down from the red ones, so if the red ones are too hard for you, I recommend these. Though be careful of not jumping too far of a mouthpiece size. I tried play these from a yamaha 5c .48 inches to a size 6 mouthpiece 6.2 and it didn't work too well for me. These are not only softer than the reds but a bit more brighter in sound response. Good for jazz mouthpieces for easier sound production and bright response

My Favorite Reeds
Vandoren reeds have been my choice of reeds on both clarinet and saxophone for countless years. Vandoren reeds are often slightly stiffer than other brands so make sure you do long tones regularly. Vandoren reeds allow me to play with better intonation, tone quality and notes speak clearly. If you have never played on a Vandoren reed or have not been practicing regularly, start with softer reed until you build up your embouchure strength

Excellent reeds for Jazz/Pop/Fusion
I've used Vandoren Java reeds for many (20 or more) years and they continue to be one of my favorite reeds on soprano/alto/tenor saxes. Clear and FAT sound and they last through a lot of playing! Also...out of a box or 5 reeds...I almost find 5 that are playable and 3-4 that are REALLY GOOD! They have a brighter sound, so would not recommend them for classical sax...but for all the other music styles...they are perfect!

Excellent quality product! First of all most of the reeds in the packaging are good and you do not have to throw half of them.. There is a very large flexibility and variety with sound.

It’s ok.
I use 3 pieces so far, one had a broken tip, unusable, one corner of the tip seems bent, won’t last long, the other one is good, I like the sound on my soprano saxophone. That’s why still give 4 stars.
