Nice little night lights with the added feature of battery back-up in case of power outages!
Picked up several of these to replace some others (might have been from the early 2000's!) that didn't hold a charge for the power outages/flash light feature. These are were the only brand I could find that had the power outage feature I was hoping to get. These are really nice and bright, really help those dark hallways/areas that could use a little light to get around/find the light switch. These have come in handy for power outages or/and a quick grab flashlight. The light isn't much more than a cell phone flash light, but that's all that's needed to those dark areas in emergency and non-emergency. Works well: Simply plug in, and it'll charge up - mine came pre-juiced a bit! Battery life: Seems to be pretty good, have yet to run out in the short needed uses. The batteries from older units lasted almost a decade, hoping these will go 5-10 years but not expecting that (nothing made these days lasts long). Look: Decent clean look, nice that the plug tucks away if used as a flash light - works well upright or facing down. Ease of installation: Simple plug in.

Great for travel
I travel occasionally for work, and am always frustrated with the lack of night lights in hotels. With the black out curtains, waking up in the dark is a pain. I have to set my phone alarm in another area of the room so I don’t hit snooze. That means I stub a toe, bang my knee, or walk into a wall because no two hotel rooms are the same. The lights in the room are too bright to leave on to sleep, or are on a motion sensor/timer that turn off automagically. This nightlight is the perfect solution. I don’t have to carry batteries, it has multiple functions, and it’s slim and portable so it fits in my carry-on easily. I plug it in to the sockets near the bathroom counter, set the brightness I want, and go to sleep. The multi function will come in handy when leisure traveling with my husband. No more harsh mobile phone flashlight if I need to look for something while he’s sleeping. I haven’t had to test the charge longevity, but the auto sensor works great. The button doesn’t have a loud annoying click, and it feels well-made.

Very Handy
Plug it in and let it charge. It will not illuminate - unless there is a power outage. The light will come on. Unplug it and use it to find you favorite flash light. A button on the side allows selection of low luminosity, high luminosity and a separate, spot beam LED. Note: it must be plugged in to charge the battery prior to use. Well made and very handy.

Not bad. Have yet to use it for a longer time
I needed to have this placed on an outlet near a door frame. The GE nightlight is just the right width though the door frame blocks the switch on the side of it, But also I found out I could put the nightlight upside down to remedy that. I intend to use the light so that it is not so dark in the small hallway area to the bathroom. Pro(s): The night light seems to have two different intensities. One brighter than the other. The night light part is basically a "Soft white" rather than "Cool white" which is good as Cool White would or could be too strong for a night light. The flashlight function is also good should there be a power outage or if you need to just be able to access a flashlight quickly and you just have to reach for the light on the power outlet. Con(s): Or potential con(s): The flashlight is essentially like that of a desk lamp. The light does not "Beam" a straight light (or not so much). Still it seems good enough for general use and definitely would be useful in a power outage. Another potential con is that if you plug in the item and try to set it to the higher-intensity night light it just defaults to the lower intensity night light. Still I would recommend this item. I have yet to use it on a longer term basis. I would not know how long lasting it is or how rugged it is. I will update my review according to my findings.

Great Lights.
I’ve had these lights in many rooms for over 4 years. They have all worked flawlessly. They come on at night and also when the power goes out. They stay light for many hours during a power outage. Makes life much easer and safter than using flashlights or candles during power outages . Going to buy more for rest of the house.

Love these nightlights
We've ordered a few of these lights. They are perfect for nightlight use in our half and living room. They come on when it's dark and off when it's light. And then they automatically come on when we lose electricity (which is common in our rural mountain area) so there is some light in the rooms they are in. Perfect for us! So glad we found these!!

Power failure tested!
I purchased this little light about 9 months ago. We use it in the kitchen to provide light without turning on overheads and disturbing anyone. It took my husband a little while to get used to the brightness, but I thought it was perfectly bright enough. This past week, we had near-100-mph wind gusts from a derecho. We were without power for a couple of days, and this light worked like a champ. I didn't leave it on constantly—it was used mainly for trips to the bathroom or to find things in the dark—but it performed well over several days without a charge. I love that you can toggle between brightness settings and light functions when it is not plugged in. Good value for the money, and I am going to buy another. EDIT: I made good on my word to purchase a second light later in 2022. We were without power again for 10 days, and both little lights were champs throughout. They charged easily via the generator we used, providing light into the night. They needed charged almost daily, but that could have been because they were getting used quite often after the sun went down. Here we are, at the end of 2023, and both lights are still going strong plugged into the wall as everyday nightlights, ready if the power goes out again.

Should not be sold in the UK or on the Amazon.co.uk site. It is US voltage and has a US 2 pin connector. Complete waste of time in the UK. Note that you probably won't find this out until you have had to cut open the blister pack, therefore making it impossible to return.

Bought 2 of these for office washrooms that don't have exterior, ambient nor installed emergency lighting if the power goes out while someone is occupying them. Nice ceiling-cast light in the evenit of a pwer outage so folks can see what they're doing and finish up, and won't bang into walls on their way out. Also double as flashlights (with plug pushed into casing fits nicely in one's hand) in case anyone's working late and the power goes out anywhere else there isn't an automatic power-outage emergency light.

Got this on May 22nd, put batteries in right away and installed it in my safe and haven't touched it since. (June 23rd.) Light is nice and bright and quick to respond, as soon as I open my safe it's on. If I walk away it turns off, and then back on as soon as I walk back up. I didn't use the mounting hardware that came with it, just a couple strips of industrial velcro and stuck it to the inside roof of my safe. Highly recommended.
