No, the plates are not non-skid.

what lunch bag can this plate fit in?

These plates do not fit into lunch bags I use it to put in refrigerator for my husband when I am not going to be home. Good for that and then straight to microwave.

Would 2 of them nest inside one another?

They would nest without tops on. I was disappointed and haven't used this for intended purpose (meals prepared ahead of time for my elderly mother in law). It says do not microwave. Defeats my purpose for buying.

How tight is the lid and can this be used to store liquids or as a lunch box?

This lid has a tight snap on lid but it is not air tight or water tight. There is no seal that gives it that air tight/water tight feel.
