LARSEN Viola Strings (LVA-AMEDB)

I love the full tonal qualities of this A string. It will give the volume I need without sounding like I'm trying too hard. Other players need to be aware, though, that this is a bare metal string, much like a violin E string. That means that it is prone to the occasional "whistle" when bow technique gets sloppy.

First time using strings from this company and I am glad I did. Read a lot of review and comments about the quality. And this string lives up to every standard. I have Larsen for my A andPirastro Evah Pirazzi for my D, G and C strings. It is so long and melodious. I can be quiet and timid at times, but these strings truly bring out my sound.

I have this on my 15.5" Chinese viola. Previously, I had a full set of Warchal Brilliants, but then swapped out the Brilliant A for this one. I am quite impressed with the difference in tone, and it blends well with the other strings in the set. The other A string had been a little muted for my tastes on this particular instrument, but the Larsen A doesn't seem to have that problem.

I received a Larsen Violin A instead of a Viola A. However, the return went smoothly.

This new product was delivered as advertised and is good quality.

Great string!

For the money it's OK and for beginners.

Best viola 'A' string I have tried. Quick to break in, beautiful sound.
