Sadly I have to update my review- after a long walk on the Moors, in not very much rain, these let all the water in. This made for a very heavy going hike given the soft lining also soaked up every drop of water too... yuck! Sadly I can not recommend this product, it’s got the looks and will keep you warm if it’s DRY and windy but doesn’t stand up to even a few drops of rain which was the whole point to this purchase:(Excellent product, everyone has said how smart they look and the price is so much better than the well known brands here. I would say 8-10 has a very snug waist but they fit perfectly everywhere else so I am happy, will just stop me over indulging in pasties and cream teas while away hiking!

just received these and they are lovely. I'm 12/14 and they look so slender that I didn't think they would fit, but my god they fit like a glove without being tight. Nice high waist, sturdy material with stretch and great warm lining. Perfect length too (I'm 5ft 7). Bring on the colder weather which due to poor circulation normally means blue, cold legs.

The trousers are fantastic and comfortable and warm. I highly recommend them. However, the zip was broken on first try on (one of those zips that don't stay closed). I paid for it to be replaced at the sewing shop so have taken off a star for this being necessary.

After reading the reviews I decided to buy this after all. The fabric is brilliant, overall very comfy pants, but like several others the zipper got destroyed on the first try. Not even by wearing it out of the house, just by trying it on.Luckily I am a seamstress by trade and can change the zipper into something more sturdy, but still...Sizes run a little on the small side. I ordered 14-16, and it is a VERY snug fit even though I wear 14 in anything else.

These are super think and warm. Perfect for hiking in the cold or gardening .The pocket zips broke immediately but that might have been because I’d put on a few pounds over Christmas and was too fat for them! You will be glad to know that I have been really good through January and have lost the winter plump !

I ordered size 14-16. Even my size 10 daughter could not do them up! Maybe it was just the wrong size label, but had to return them and didn't want to take a chance on ordering another pair.

Bought for my wife. She loves them. Warm and comfortable. Great for hiking/walking the dog.
