It is very expensive for what it is. It also rubs a bit on the OEM silicone sleeve accessory. However, it does break-in and eventually you forget about the interference and just feels snug. It does do a great job of protecting the lens. If you just want a camera to throw around in your bag, you'll want this cap to keep it scratch and dust free serving. It's pretty beefy without adding any weight or depth to the camera - so you get increased damage protection from a fall as well IMO.

This works well. Easy to install and use, and keeps lens clean.

It shouldn’t cost this much but $50 to protect your $400 camera isn’t a bad cost:benefit ratio. Not difficult to trim the silicone sleeve to work with the lens protector, you will have to separate the sleeve around the flash.

I had a TG-4 for several years. I did not have this lens barrier for that camera. When I purchased the TG-6 I decided to spend the extra money and get this lens cap. It works great, opens quickly, and protects the lens when you camera is packed in with other stuff, or just getting roughed-around in general. Highly recommended, even at this ridiculous price.

I got a TG-7 a few weeks ago and really like the camera (yes, the accessories only listed as TG-6 seem to fit this just fine).I don't have much to add to the previous reviews, but will confirm it's an easy to install and use protective aperture cap. It's absurdly expensive for what it is, like most brand-specific lens accessories and should have been a stock part of this camera's kit, but here we are. If you do chose to buy knowing this, it seems like good solid kit. I just wish the TG-7 came with a basic press-on cap for its lens ring though.

I wanted something to protect my camera lens. This fits great and works well. It is just as advertised. Nice to have when taking pictures outside.

Arrived promptly in good condition. Installed as a replacement for the standard lens adaptor. Snaps open (counter-clockwise) and closed (clockwise) with a light twist. It's plastic, so you have to use finesse so as not to break it. It works easily so no real force is needed.

Easy to attach and operate, adds lens protection. It should really be included with the camera. Note that like most lens covers and adapters for tough series cameras (for filters and attachable lens), it is not waterproof.
